Das Buccaneer Soundsystem gründete sich im Winter 2007. Zu Beginn waren es Georg, Jojo und Raúl, die den Sound aufbauten. Mit der Anzahl der Dances stieg auch die Motivation, mehr als einfach ein weiteres Soundsystem im Süddeutschenraum zu sein.
Im Juni 2007 stieß Jan von Sensitiv Hifi zu den drei Soundboys - die Buccaneer Sound Family bekam Zuwachs. Mit Jan ist ein weiterer Top Selecta und Parttime MC an Bord der MS Buccaneer hinzugekommen.
Neben weiteren Dances sorgte Buccaneer Sound auch in der Lokalpresse für Aufmerksamkeit: Ein ausführliches Porträt über den Sound erschien; diesem folgte ein Nachbericht des "Jamaican Ting" Dances.
Buccaneer Sound steht für Reggae & Dancehall, der keine Grenzen kennt, eine unbeschreibliche Energie auf Dances und einen unnachahmlichen Style.
