After a year as a Teamster and 10 years in Naval Aviation traveling thoughout the Pacific, living in Sicily for 3 years and ending up in Key West, I left the military. Attended 6 different colleges and Universities from California to Florida, earning a degree in Engineering and an MBA in South Florida. Working as a direct employee, a contractor and even a couple years for the Norweigians in Europe, Carribean, Hawaii and Singapore.. Through all of my experiences and growth, I never lost my beliefs and remain a card carrying member of the ACLU, Veterans for Peace and an activist with MoveOn.org as a Support Corps Volunteer and Pinellas County Leadership Committee Member, a progressive "ANTI-BUSH" Republican, Rock and Roller, (Harley) bike rider, scuba diver and a True Bucs fan... But I still enjoy chilling with calamari, white wine and Smooth Jazz. Another vote to remember folks !!! These Republican Representatives (and one BlueDog Dem) voted against (H. Res. 979) recommending that Congress find Harriet Miers and Joshua Bolten, in contempt of Congress for refusal to comply with subpoenas issued by the Committee on the Judiciary, or to initiate judicial proceedings to enforce those subpoenas. They are in my opinion in dereliction of their duty to their constituents, and should at least be taken from their positions come next election.

I also encourage you to look at the list of No Votes from Dems on the Govtrack site.. They are a part of the problem we'll continue to live with if we don't have a clear Progressive majority in the House and Senate.
The Bush Administration has just handed down its long-awaited "License to Kill" rule. It's the equivalent of a death sentence for hundreds of endangered gray wolves in Greater Yellowstone and across the Northern Rockies.

Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY), and Sen. Crapo (R-ID currently serving with "wide-stance" Larry Craig) with the help of this corrupt administration wants the Gray Wolf taken off the Endangered Species List, so that big state ranching can bring their population down to where they see fit, "by any means necessary" shot on sight, in nearly 90% of the State, including National forests, and wilderness areas, potentially bringing Gray Wolf numbers from 1500 to 300 !!
I'm not opposed to Farmers and Ranchers earning the living they can in this screwed up economy the neo-con republicans have given us ALL.. But this is just another political power grab for the big capital in their States, no ones life is on the line, and whereas I've no doubt these predators cause some damage in flock numbers, there's not packs of Grays terrorizing the city streets of Idaho and Wyoming ?? There's a chance we can do something to save the lives of these Wolves, as it's OBVIOUSLY PREMATURE to kill them in the numbers they are out to kill.
