My name is Buck Allen, I'm a NSAI songwriter from Hurley, Mississippi. I've been in Iraq for the last 36 months working as a firefighter. I write songs from life's expierences, so I think people can relate to what I'm writing about. Music is a powerful tool, a simple song can do so much to influence other peoples lives.
My cds "Made in Iraq" and "Looking For A Deal" are a country /bluegrass, it's what I call SWAMPGRASS All of the songs you'll hear on my page were recorded in Iraq on my laptop. For $20.00 I bought a microphone and a set of headphones from an Iraqi man. Brorrowed a MAGIX program and recorded 21 songs. The quality of the recordings aren't great, but I'm very proud to have out there. I started recording it in a conex trailer when the temp. was over a 100* at night and 130* during the day( IT WAS BLOODY HOT). So give it a listen, I hope you like it. Please leave me some feedback all comments are welcome, good or bad it all helps me grow as a writer. Please send me a friend request.

Buck, great hearing from you. Sent email and address by secure space mail. In addition to seeing your family, I know you are looking forward to meeting Mr. Beer on your return...I've already met him and had a couple brews for you from time to time. But, nothing like the real thing. So, you will be home for a month and then back to the desert sands. Now thats dedication my brother. Have a safe ride home. Take care. Keep in touch. Warm regards, Bruce
Hey Buck, you back home in Mississippi yet? Know it is about time for you to giddy-up-and-go out of Iraq and get back with your family and girls. Hope this finds you well. Know this thought is shared by our international friends Teddy from Denmark and Penni from the UK. Get together with my son Eric Geibel...you guys ought to write some songs together. He has a great arranger and producer Pershing Wells down south of New Orleans, LA, who gives you a pretty good deal on recording and orchestrating your music to sound like a full backup band playing with about $50K worth of recording equipment. Check it out. Warm regards my brother, your friend and fan, Bruce
Brother Buck...Long May our Colors Wave. Happy 4th of July - Since 1776, we have celebrated 233 years of general peace and freedom in the USA thanks to our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines. Remember this: Freedom isn't Free. To our troops serving around the world in harm's way, we Salute You! OoohRaahhh!

Look out for new music by my son Eric...he is doing a live interview on HooHah internet radio tonight where I believe he will release a new song to the world wide audience...a great song and anyone in a relationship will understand and appreciate his thoughts from the heart. Hi Buckster, well, Sandy & I are finally back from our 17-day trip to China. Sailed 1,500 miles along the Yangtze River on a Viking River Cruise Boat. A simply wonderful cruise. Even listened to a good country-western duo from Germany on board our ship. Started off in Shanghai and ended up in Beijing. Saw pandas, the Terracotta Warriors, walked the Great Wall of China, and walked through Tiananmen Square, the 2008 Olympic Site and the Forbidden City in Beijing. Overall all, a great trip...exceeded our expectations. The beer was good...even in China, LOL. I had a couple for you too. Photos from the trip will be up by the weekend. Hope all is well in your sandy part of the world. I'm off to Nashville for the CMA Fan Festival next week. Eric will be playing a show at Fuel there on Friday the 12th. Should be fun. TC, TTYL, your friend, Bruce
Hi Buck, How's it going? I haven't been keeping up with everyone like I should, but I've been recuperating from surgery I had back in March. Be safe and keep writing. I love your songs. Johnnie
Hey, Y'all! Download my new tunes and I can finish recording! On my myspace page, new songs are posted unfinished, unmastered. Be one of the few to get them. Help me raise the money to finish production! Ruby Jane
Hi Buck, just dropping by this morning to share some coffee with you...better than beer this time of the day, LOL. Please check out Dianna Paul's new song "Rose" on my player and click on her site as well. Think you will really love this Iraq related song. Have a wonderful week ahead. Semper Fi, your friend, Bruce
Hey Brother, working on some beer for you now, whoo hoo! When you get back in June/July timeframe, Eric and I will plan to see you somewhere for a brew and talk about some songwriting and singing opportunities. Eric is running a bi-weekly songwriter's Sunday night in Berwick, LA, and invites singer-songwriters to join him there. Warm regards, stay safe, keep them fire trucks and EMS services ready to roll, Bruce
Hey Brother Buck, just sailing on by to say hi to you over in Iraq. Sir Teddy, Princess Penni, Red Shoes and I have missed you out in Space. Hope you enjoyed your short 2-weeks time on R&R in Mississippi with family. Time flys when you are having fun with family. Hope you are well in the desert sands. I almost took another job up in Norfolk, VA, for the U.S. Navy, but turned it down after learning it was an 18 plus or minus month assignment and I wasn't wanting another long deployment away from home as a semi-retiree, hehe, LOL. Anyway, I'm back to writing music with my son and we hope to have some new songs out within the next month. He is back in the studio part time again doing some recording. Warm regards, stay safe, keep your head low, eat beans not bullets, your friend and fan, Bruce de Brus
