Buck and Nelson, aka David Buchanan and Nelson Thomas, have been playing music together in some fashion since the mid 1970's. This highly acclaimed duo from the mountains of North Georgia performs acoustic roots music on a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica, and washboard. Their repertoire includes old time country, bluegrass, blues, British Isles, and original songs and tunes. Providing an entertaining show of good music sprinkled with humor and interpretation is their goal. These performing veterans have appeared at venues including house concerts, coffeehouses, festivals, and concert halls. They have had a great number of musical influences, though their sound remains their own.
They are happy to carry forward the traditions of music they have inherited.

Dearest Buck & Nelson: The plain truth is that your acoustic, folk or bluegrass is actually beguiling my country heart. All of the songs you displayed are topping, smashing, however allow me to pick out "Frosty Morning" and your superb "Kicking Mule", my best-loved number. It can set fire to any slow-going dancing ball. My felicitations and good luck on your touring days ahead, may you bring the next house down! May you be interested in knowing my provincial music, my roots, on my newly released CD "Nas quebradas do sertão", and after checking it out send me your kind comments. A strong fraternal musical embrace from your Brazilian friend,
