I have plenty of piss and vinegar left to spew and monstorous riffs to unleash. Iam holed up in the North End Compound constructing the ultimate power trio. If you listen to our music it's a mix of many sounds done Buckethitch style. Thats just like our record collections, anyone still play vinyl? We've all gone through different music phases in our lives from the cheesy 80's metal to punk to country & blues, hip-hop and everything in between. The stuff that we come back to is music that will always be apart of Buckethitchs' music biology. As a musician bands like Zeppelin, Hendrix, Radiohead, Black Sabbath, Primus, Nirvana, Janes Addiction, Iron Maiden, Bowie, Pink Floyd, Melvins, Beatles, Sepultura, Faith No More, Sex Pistols, King Crimson, RATM and P-Funk are in our blood. While we love rock n' roll We listen to everything, James Brown is a God, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, and tons of beat heavy hip-hop like NWA, Eminem, Kool Keith.

Buckethitch is a groove heavy power trio that are part alternative and part stoner rock. With angualr guitars from Jesus Lizard, bowel rattling bass like NoMeansNo, lyrics like the Beastie Boys meets Tom Waits, slicing slide ala The Allman Brothers and pounding tribal drum beats like John Bohnam and Keith Moon.
The band switches from stomping blues-rock to quirky off time signatures and aggressive noise rock that Bully Magazine's (NYC) Ken Wohlrob called Buckethitch " Very inventive, very heavy and has one hell of a groove."
Buckethitch is a heavy, power trio from the bowels of the North-End in Winnipeg, Mb, Canada. Born from the ashes of the psychedelic jam rock of Artificial Joy, main man Ashley McCurdy had Buckethitch focused on shorter songs, odd time signitures, weed fueled lyrics and huge grooves.
After playing every bar that would have us, along the way playing with Canadian bands Headstones, Tricky Woo, NoMeansNo and U.S. acts FUCK, Princess Superstar, Jucifer and more, we released our 1st full-length cd on June 4th/2004 titled Filthy Little Savages. The cd garnered great reviews leading to being added to a New York based compilation called Rebirth Of The Heavy which featured underground bands around the world.
We have shot a video and are working on a new album which will feature more groove than ever.
