Bucket of Shrimp Ears and Albert John Saxby......"has also launched a new genre with the addition of conga drums backing his acoustic sound. He has coined a new word with his "Congabilly Band" that marries the Latin American drums to his country themes of whiskey drinking blues, tales of the lonely highway, novelties, and love ballads. The group is called "Bucket of Shrimp Ears" and the story behind it is as comical the name. ......(Bucket of Shrimp Ears) only plays original music in (their) performances and the variety (they) provided had the audience into every word of (their) upbeat, easy listening style." Barry Hendry, The Bancroft Times
Bucket Of Shrimp Ears is the worlds first Congabilly Band. They have been playing together as a band for less than a year, although Ian and Albert have been playing together fo close to seven years. The addition of Barry on congas, and Ric on guitar, has completed the bands unique sound. This along with the bands sense of humour, and Alberts strong songwriting, makes for an exiting and very entertaining live show. The band is quickly gaining a fan base, and is now ready to take on the world with the release of there first cd Hillbilly Savant. This 13 song Congabilly Juggernaut is guaranteed to get your mojo working, and is a must have for the serious Congabilly collector.
