The Buckhead Young Republicans (BYRs) are young professionals between the ages of 18 and 40, who live, work or play in the Buckhead and Midtown areas of Atlanta.
Dating to the 1960s, the BYRs are the oldest continuously charter Young Republican organization in the Atlanta area, and the only Young Republican Club that meets within the Atlanta city limits.
BYRs have served as the training ground for many of our state's future Republican leaders. Famous alumni include State Senator David Shafer, Governor Perdue's floor leader, and Eric Tanenblatt, the Governor's former chief of staff and now State Chairman of the Bush/Cheney campaign.
The BYRs facilitate opportunities for Young Republicans to have an active role in politics today. Members of the BYRs not only benefit from the social aspects, but the chance for future political development.
Members of the BYRs are active in a variety of careers making the organization a great place to network and make new contacts both personally and professionally.
The BYRs are chartered with the Georgia Federation of Young Republican Clubs (GFYRC), as well as, the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF).
As Atlanta’s farm team for Republican politics, the BYRs has spent the more than the last 20 years creating the leaders of today, as well as training the next generation for tomorrow.
As part of the nation’s oldest and largest youth political society, BYRs enjoy a highly regarded reputation for the work done on campaigns, local events, and holding offices themselves. Young Republicans work hand in hand with other members of the Republican Party to continue the growth and development of Republicans throughout the city and the state, as well as the Buckhead and Midtown Communities. The Buckhead Young Republicans have a long history of developing future leaders in the Republican Party.
Some of you may be asking what is XEKE.com (pronounced Zeke), and why do I keep hearing about XEKE.com on MySpace?
I am the founder of XEKE.com. We are a pro life, pro America, pro God, pro military, Conservative website. We offer political commentary and analysis. If you like Rush, Coulter, Hannity, O'Reilly, hopefully you will like our website.
We are based out of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. As of now, there is my self and our webmaster, who also contributes analysis and commentary.
We are trying to take XEKE.com national this year. One of our first steps was to build a strong support group online, and MySpace has helped out a lot. We have bumper stickers that will be available very soon. We do what we do for free. We hope to have more merchandise, including shirts, available in the near future. As of now, bumper stickers are the most cost effective way to promote XEKE.com to as many people as possible.
