My old friend King Gully was the first Rasta surfer on the wild North Shore of Barbados. This song is based on his true story. It's been described as a cross between "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Puff The Magic Dragon". :>) I think you'll like it, as well as the shots of great surfing and amazing waves, all from Barbados! Enjoy....

Sounds Like
The Beatle's White Album crashes into the next century, but less homogenous.
Stylistically the music covers every genre from Punk to Pop, Metal to Mariachi, Calypso to Gospel, Rock to R&B. Our motto; "Let no two songs sound alike." No wonder we don't have a major label deal!
HIYA BUCKYROOS! For the election we made this YouTube video (above) featuring our hero Bucky Burro kicking some Republican piggy butt! The villain is played by Miss Sarah Piggy Palin, complete with lipstick and senile sidekick John McPiggy! Enjoy. And VOTE!!
P.S. WE WON!!!!!
And here's our Bali Surf Gear promo video, featuring Rick surfing in Bali, with great music by Donnette Thayer, (see our "Friends" below), also recorded and produced by Rickymix!
.........NOW, BACK TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED SILLYNESS...............
HOLY GUACAMOLE! It’s “Jesus In A Tortilla”, the new CD from the Bucky Burro Band!
“The Bucky who?” you might ask. Good question.
If John Lennon, Lenny Bruce and Cheech & Chong had formed a band, they might have sounded something like the Bucky Burro Band. This new, full-length CD is a collection of some of the goofiest, whackiest songs ever recorded. In addition to “Jesus In A Tortilla”, they include:
“The Legend Of Sex Donkey”,
“Boogerama”,
“I Hate 2 Dance”,
“Beat Up, Broke Down World” and the ever popular,
“And Many More...”.
As much as we'd love to name-drop some of the guest artists who lent their incredible talents to the making of this record, we've decided it would be best if we all remained anonymous due to the recent proliferation of crackpots and whackos in our society. But rest assured that some of our guest stars are absolute legends who are probably in your music collection, if you have any taste at all. On the other hand, if you had any taste at all, you probably wouldn't be reading this and considering checking out this CD!
Regarding the Miracle Tortillas themselves; this is not some cheesy Photoshop trick. These are real tortillas, with a genuine toasted image of Jesus miraculously roasted in, just like in the song! Like fingerprints or snowflakes, no two Miracle Tortillas are exactly alike due to the unique swirls and toasting patterns of each tortilla. Each one is a unique work of art, signed and numbered on the back and dipped in epoxy resin to preserve it for eternity. Bound to be collector's items, they're great as Christmas tree ornaments, for hanging from your rear view mirror, or as a birthday present for anyone you know with either a good sense of humor, or no sense of humor at all. You know who we mean!
You can buy your very own Genuine Imitation Miracle Tortilla and "Jesus In A Tortilla" CD at www.buckyburro.com. Also all the songs are available for listening, (a lot more easily than here,) and as downloads at http://cdbaby.com/cd/buckyburro. Check 'em out!
Will miracles never cease?! Not while Bucky Burro’s around! We hope you enjoy the music, the Tortilla, the whackiness of Biblical proportions called the Bucky Burro Band!
Rick & Bucky, and the whole crew at Road Apple Records.
For the month of October 2009, any online order over $20 will receive a "signed" broken or used drum stick from Davey Calabrese. All year long, Davey has been collecting these drum sticks and saving them just for you. Why does he have so my broken drum sticks? Could it be a lack of self control behind the drums? A mental disorder that causes him to destroy? Only his therapist knows for sure!

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
