I'd have to say iv always really enjoyed playing music i just could never write real music till i turned about 15 and i got my first real long term g/f. As soon as wee broke up the lyrics just flowed out of my mind and i just put them to music so id like to thank her for warping my mind. Girls in general have influenced me apparently they really like it if u write them a song and preform it for them on the spot( some even cry). Jericho Hill was also a big influence (if u haven't heard them find they're myspace they rock). kellen liked to push me a lot and it really improved my style of writing.
My Name is Buddy Cottom, I'm a small town acoustic singer/songwriter. Iv been playing since i was about 12 or 13 and writing since i was 14 or 15. i have about 50 or 60 original tunes that i play out frequently at bars, parties, or just out on the street. I've played from Bridge Street in Oswego NY straight over to Detroit and on down to Tennessee, i strummed Bourbon street until i had one string left and on over to Birmingham Alabama and down to Pensacola. I've been yelled at, cussed out, spit at and shit on for what iv done along the way but I'm proud of who i was and the decisions iv made to become who i am today. Just keep watchin those charts ;)
