| General | Buddah Lounge was conceived on a dinner napkin in April 1995. It was founder Robert Corrado's idea to create an upscale gay asian experience. Grand opening was May 13, 1995. Buddah Lounge soon became the number one gay asian dance club on the west coast. This gave the gay asian community a home of their own. Where we all showed fashion, class, and ass.
In 2002 after a successful 7 year run, we chose to close because we felt the gay asian community had found its rightful place in the gay community.
5 years later having dinner with friends, Robert asked, "where do we all go to hang out in a fun filled club in LA to see our friends and make new ones?...we are all still hip, some younger and some older, some with more money, some are still hot." As from the birth of Buddah Lounge ALL are welcome!!! "I am bringing back a great and elegant gay Asian dance club, to bring back all of the Fun and Glamour of how it all started!"
