GEORGE V RECORDS:

It took two years only for George V Records to impose its label as a must in the musical landscape. The whole story started in 2000, directed by Raymond Visan, as an answer to the customers of the same group's restaurants, the Barfly, the Buddha Bar and the Barrio Latino. A visionary businessman, Raymond Visan created a new kind of restaurants. His group's fame is based on a subtle mixture of innovating marketing methods, with extraordinary places, fastuous design and ethnic musical atmospheres definitely inspired and creative, included with a spicy menu. This sophisticated ambiance flirts with celebrities melting with a young, urban and international clientele whose nomadic soul is resolutely open to the rest of the planet. Music, which at first was to enhance the aura of the restaurant, has rapidly turned into its very soul. George V Records has become a recognized Musical Designer by imposing its presence in the musical production thanks to a never ending and demanding artistic researching spirit aiming at a real quality level. It's been widely recognized by the public well beyond the French frontiers, since 60 % of the sales come from abroad. RAVIN:

Born in the earth of the Indian Ocean from Indian’s parents, Ravin is one of those artists in perpetual search. A search that goes on to finally find wisdom, perfection and musical intoxication. Since the opening of the Buddha Bar in 1997, Ravin felt right at home, and ready to touch his eternal goal. Consequently, Ravin feels his wings growing, and gets in a new musical direction that he blends until becoming an uncontested master of Lounge music. His international notoriety allowed him to mix in the most happening clubs around the world where his sets are incredible successes. Always with the mounting of innovative mixtures, Ravin expresses in 2005 an idea of revival, by launching the “Upcoming Sound” with Siddharta 3, a clever blend of Lounge, electro and acoustic flavours; and now the brand new buddha-bar opus, buddha-bar IX

SAM POPAT:

From his ethnic diversity (born in Madagascar from Indian’s parents) Sam knows quickly how to impose himself in the Parisian Jungle but also in the Urban Tempo of New York, the Big Apple. It’s in the Buddha Bar, as a DJ, that he creates his own musical style, spiced blend of Tribal House and fusion, and that he putts his artistic print. This leads him to the wire of time to launch himself in musical creation. Thanks to his musical claw, nowadays known as a musician, Sam revealed himself, as a true type-setter author and obviously like one of the largest DJ of his generation.

BENOIT:

Born in Paris in 1976, he immediately gained an appreciation for a variety of cultures, especially when it came to music. As a child, Benoît's interest in music peaked when he was rocked by the songs and melodies of classical music, jazz, blues and pop rock. He started leasing violin at 4 years old, piano at 6, saxo & guitar at 11. He decided to study taxes to become a tax lawyer in Paris but he never stopped playing in bands and producing music with some friends... Benoît explains: "For me, music is an encounter between various sensations". With a special interest in the organic side of music and travels, Benoît also became influenced by especially Brazilian rhythms & Asian vibes. After his travels, Benoît wished to incorporate all the various flavors of music into his repertoire. Later on his taste in music broadened and his love for Parisian nightlife led to the beginning of his career as a DJ in the Buddha Bar in 2003. ..
