..Jericho (which has been cancelled in favor of Reality Junk), The Unit, House, Early Edition (even though it's an older show) and Heroes. We don't have cable anymore and don't miss it. We can watch the good stuff online. Oh...but we do miss "The Colbert Report".
Books
..Nonfiction: The KJV Bible, Icons of Evolution, The Evolution Cruncher, Bones of Contention, all kinds of tutorial type books, science books including ID, minerology, physics and any earth science and geology subjects. I'm currently reading "Darwin's Black Box" by Dr. Michael J. Behe. There is a good book by Robert Gentry about polonium haloes in granite that is on my wish list. Hint . . . Hint!
Jesus Christ, for doing everything that I couldn't have. He showed me how to be a better person, forgave me in spite of my selfishness, snobbishness and self-centeredness and suffered so much to save me.
My sister, for her passion and fierce devotion to her friends and family, for having been a survivor through much adversity, and for her artistic inspiration to me. She does beautiful soft sculptures and designs clothing that could hang in an art gallery.
My dad, who always believed that I could accomplish anything, and who stood by me when I decided I wanted to be a mother instead of an attorney, like him. He was also my first art teacher and fan.
My mom, who says that the best way to forget your own problems is to help other people with theirs. She's molded me with her wisdom.
Our son, David, and all his fellow soldiers from Fort Hood, who are serving with him in Iraq. Also, our daughter-in-law, Heather and the other military wives who are holding the fort for them until they come home.

About me: I am so excited! My fractal, "Forest Canopy", was featured as a Daily Deviation at deviantart.com, which is a great honor. It's already had almost 1,500 views since this morning (July 3rd). If you want to see it, go to:
http://today.deviantart.com/dds/
It's at the bottom of the page.
I graduated from Banning High School in 1973, went to Mount San Jacinto Junior College the next year and then Humboldt State University from Fall of '74 thru '77 as a Theater Arts/Film major. My earlier schools were Carpenter Avenue Elementary in Studio City, Walter Reed Junior High and one semester at North Hollywood High School. I would really like to meet up with old childhood friends again.
I now have fractals in three folders. My original fractals folder was bulging to the point of breaking, so I added the Older and Newest Fractals folders to take some of the strain off.
Check out my new fractal art site:

I've been adding new art to my fractals folder almost daily, and you can download free wallpaper sized versions and buy prints from the deviantart site and get free wallpapers from photobucket. The link for photobucket is in my latest blog.
We're having a family reunion here starting July 21st. Chuck and Yvonne are coming, as well as many cousins. Dick is coming down here from Alaska too. I'm really looking forward to seeing everybody!
I'm a fifth generation Montanan, although my parents moved to Hollywood before I was born. They brought me back here when I was grown. I've now lived here longer than anywhere else.
I'm a grandmother of 10. We have seven children who have grown up to be interesting, intelligent, talented, enjoyable adults: Sarah, Jeffrey, C. J., Brian, Shaun, David and Jimmy. We also have several others whom we have adopted over the years. It's become a huge family.
I absolutely love geology, minerology, hydrology, psysics and earth science. I read much more than I should, neglecting life's more important things. My kids used to draw pictures of me that showed only 2 feet and hands peeking out from behind a giant book. I'm especially proud of all our kids, who grew up, not only to be loving people, but much more interesting than I am. I'm bilingual (English & Spanish). I used to be fluent in French but lost it, even after 4 years studying it. I've also studied Latin and Koine Greek.
I started out working in television and film as a young adult, but when my parents bought a hotel in Montana, returning to the place of their childhood, I visited them and fell in love. Hollywood burnout had crept into my heart, and Montana introduced me to the real America. Whitefish, at that time, was still a small town, virginal, and untouched by outside influence.
I'm now an artist and website designer with Roca Mia Design, a family owned company. Jimmy is the wiz with programming and our computer(s) administrator. My husband is a well-known wildlife artist (C.L. Emerson) and our sons are following in his footsteps. You can see samples of the family's artwork in my pictures folder.
Roca Mia has a free site for webpage background sets at www.angelfire.com/sc3/rocamia/ and www.angelfire.com/sc3/rocamiagraphics/ (for Christian sets), and I have a biblical research website at www.angelfire.com/sc3/redentormio/
I have a new website for my fractal art at http://rocamiadesign.deviantart.com/
I've made a lifetime commitment to Jesus Christ! I'm not a doormat, though, and will defend my family and friends from anyone who attacks them. I believe in standing up to bullies and facing down those who find joy in hurting people who have done nothing to hurt them. Jesus Christ overturned the tables of the moneychangers in the Temple. Elijah taunted the prophets of Baal. John the Baptist called the Pharisees uncomplimentary things. Jesus called the Pharisees vipers, comparing them to Satan by inference. Being a Christian requires loving people, but it doesn't insist on us always being nice! The Bible tells us to speak the truth with our neighbors, and speaking the truth sometimes offends people.
Who I'd like to meet: 1. Jesus Christ - He is going to be so much different than many people think. He will be welcoming people to heaven whom many churches rejected and casting out many who proclaimed themselves to be His prophets.
2. The grownup versions of all my childhood friends. It's been so many years since I've seen them, and I think I'm a better person than I was when I was young.
3. Our newest grandchild, who was born on Saturday, February 2. Congratulations, Sarah!
if you see any younger people around c.falls this weekend that look like family it is. aaron, ananda and brody were on their way to great falls when their car blew up in missoula. so a friend of aaron's came and got them. i guess they'll do the canyon experience. hope all is going well. one of my jobs finally started in june, and she wants to keep me busy and another job i usually do in the winter just talked to me and needs sewing done now. hopefully we can get out of this winters setback.
Hey sweetie. How are you? And how's pop's? Good I hope. I'm so excited for the wedding and so nervous at the same time with everything else. Actually I'm more excited that after nearly five years we are finally going to have the hope to see each other face to face every single day. I'm so looking forward to meet the entire family! Anyway, I'm working on some of the wedding preparations and so is Shaun. I went to the consulate today to find out when I would likely get my packet four which will tell me when my interview date is, and they said it would take another month and a half. So I'm thinking the wedding will most probably be pushed to the month of Septemeber. We met on the 20th of September. That would make a perfect date for the wedding :D Well anyway, enough about me. What's going on with you guys? You know dad was asking if you guys would like us to get anymore of those spices. We will be glad to get them for you. Let me know if you want me to get any linen and such. I would love to shop for you, especially because this shopping will be my last one in India for a long time. Also tell pop's that I have specifically asked for any requests he might have. I will be glad to get him something. It's too bad we don't get to talk a lot, but do let me know how you guys are keeping. Love you >:D<
Haha, yes and I noticed there were four kittens too! I was looking something very appropriate for Mrs. "Kitty" and I found it afterwards, but hey the more the merrier ;-). Gald you enjoyed it. I know about the household TV so no problems at all. Oh yeah I'm really getting excited for our wedding and union together IN THE MIDDLE OF MY EXAMS!!! Haha, major distraction! But yes three more days and I will be so gald to start planning the wedding and what not! We have a lot to talk about Kat woman! But yes I will get to that soon as exams are over.
Thank you for the I love you and you know I love you too ;-) My love to Chris and a bear hug :D
Hey Kitty! So Shaun and I were talking yesterday about coming up with a wedding date. Anyway, I want Jessica to be my maid of honor. And it so happens that her Candidacy Exam is on the 15th of July. So atleast we know that the wedding is gonna be after that. Either ways, by the time I get my packet 4 and get to our final stage I'm assuming it will take that long from now. So I'm working on the invitaions right now. And getting things ready for my interview. Anyways, how's everything with you and Chris? *Hugs* to you both :D
HEY REALLY DO MISS YOU ALOT I REALLY WISH WE COULD SPEND SOME TIME TOGATHER. MAYBE YOU CAN ALL COME UP FOR A BONFIRE SOME NIGHT. JUST LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU WOULD LOVE TO COME. TAKE CARE LOVE YA TAMMY D.
happy easter. we had a nice brunch with an ever growing family. i just found out about the tea parties on april 15.. we're going to the one in port angeles i think. there should be one near you that you could go to. unless you approve of the bailout and china lending us even more money and taxes and more taxes and then higher taxes on manufactured goods so there is an increase on what we can't afford. ray and i are going with brian of all people. so the tea parties aren't about political affiliation. just americans pissed off at the federal government take over of our lives and wallets.
Hi Kathleen! I was just thinking about you, too! Hope all is well... and thanks for voting for my poster entry. It was fun to do and would be amazing to actually win ;) Thanks again, and have a wonderful Easter!
Books are far better than furniture! Books make you smarter, Furniture makes you lazier! LOL! We shall discuss books more when I reach the end of Angels & Demons. Any of mine sound interesting?
Hey mom! I haven't said Hi to you on here for a while now. So just stopping by to say "Howdy!" :D I hope you're praying for Shaun and I cuz we're gonna need a lot of that! Anyway, how's the papa doin'? Give him a hug for me. Oh and here's one for you too >:D<. Love you, Layta!
yes it is nice being so close to my family but its still a hard time for me.. oh well. I'm trying to be as positive as possible. I've been keeping myself very busy. Hows Montana??? I'd love to make a summer trip. I would eventually like to move there.
Mom and I were talking about the wedding the other day. How exciting!!! it should be a wonderful time. when do you guys find out if its all going to happen??
oops on the double comments on the fractals. i was going through them yesterday while i waited for ray to come home with dinner and didn't realize i'd commented before.
Long time no talk... hope all is well with you. It's been very hectic with me. Lots of things going on with health and then my daughter's wedding a couple of weeks ago. Just thought I'd stop by to say 'hi' and see how you are doing?
