Budokan Fire are no longer together, please enjoy this memorial site and here was their write up.....Budokan Fire are a shameless, rabble rousing call to arms. Treat it as it should be used and this London 4 piece is the perfect mixer for a night of chaos. Thundering, jagged tunes about everything from robbing banks to getting trapped in a betamax video have bitch slapped London crowds at venues including The Clapham Grand, Turnmills, Camden Barfly, Dublin Castle, Spitz and The Purple Turtle to name a few. The music is tight yet sounds like it's hanging on for dear life as stomping drums, scatty basslines and junk-funk guitar underpin the lunacy of the frontman. In their first year (2006) they recorded two E.Ps, their first scoring 8/10 in Unsigned Magazine straight away, securing them a No 1 spot on NME's official download sponsor Msoundz. Then around 30 back to back gigs followed accross London while the boys went about recording their 2nd E.P. They have shared bills with signed bands, received small features in NME & Q mags and their forthcoming, 3rd E.P is a monster. They were recently spotted by a film producer who invited them to make a video for their hi-octane belter Maximum stereo high, the results are on the myspace front page - Enjoy! Future plans include a mini-tour of the UK, some suprisingly diverse new material and overseas shows. The new tracks will be available via chart registered download soon.
