Here's some nice things press have said about our second album, out now!
'Fuzzy guitar riffs that recall Supergrass during ‘I Should Coco’ are bolted to fast paced artrock rhythm sections on songs that ooze as much charm as the artwork.'
ThisIsFakeDIY.co.uk
'Sticking to the Brian Wilson premise that everything is improved with handclaps, Buen Chico are a living embodiment of the idea that less is more, crafting a blissfully contented joypop.'

'Charmingly engaging, with intelligent delivery, an excellent debut'
Rock Sound
'Their balance of strum along indie pop, sugar coated harmonies and lyrical sharpness impress on this fully stocked debut'

One sunny summer afternoon in 2003 Morgan met Kirsty in Leeds and they went for a drink. She lied about liking Weezer and knowing her scales and he didn't talk much. A brand new friendship was born - but a piece of the puzzle was missing. As if by magic Alan came along a few weeks later via a complex series of events including swing jazz, stag dos and Leeds' now defunct Sponge Rehearsal Studios. Now we all live together as one big happy band.
In our four years together we have played lots of gigs with many a fine outfit including The Long Blondes, Nine Black Alps, Eugene McGuinness, Forward Russia, GoodShoes, Pete & the Pirates and The Cribs.
We have also been writing lots of guitar pop songs about all sorts of stuff like love, global warming and keeping your chin up that will hopefully get you dancing round your bedroom or wherever you happen to be.
Our singles have been played on 6music , Radio1 and Radio 2 by the likes of Zane Lowe, Marc Riley, Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq. Our debut album, 'Right to Rearrange' is out now, and our second effort 'Our Love's Enormous' will be out in November 08!

"the Brownies could be Xerox Girls' attitudinal, imperiously cool nieces and nephews. Brilliantly out of step with current modish indie trends, full of heart-in-mouth moments and a hatred so finely tuned it's almost sexy, Means To An End is a handstand, a cartwheel and a kick in the nuts and it demands your immediate surrender." - THE GUARDIAN SINGLE OF THE WEEK
This is a huge scoop for us and definitely a gig not to be missed!!

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Damo Suzuki is a legend! Best known for his stint as the legendary Krautrock pioneers Can as their singer in the 70s, Damo now tours the world to hook up with the best of local musicians to produce stunning sets of improvised music. We cannot stress how good this will be enough - you’ve never experienced anything like a Damo Suzuki show before, even if you’ve been to a Damo Suzuki show before! This extra special show will see Damo backed by the collective brilliance that is Quack Quack and Napoleon IIIrd.
Quack Quack simply the best live band Forest of Sound have ever seen - so much energy, so much musical invention, so much skill... well, it's almost obscene.
One man empassioned alt-pop legend with his reel-to-reel tape player, Napoleon IIIrd is a man of skewed melodies, bouncing beats and a big bucket of inventiveness... and is simply ace.
Charlie Parr is from the same Duluth music scene that spawned the likes of Low and Haley Bonar, and his music delves deep into the back roads of American folk music, there’s hints of Robert Johnson, Nick Drake and Will Oldham in his playing, and a true from the heart power and clarity that is simply stunning. This guy is the real thing, and you can hear it in every note he plays, which would also explain why the people at the superb End of the Road festival ask him back every single year!
Neil McSweeney plays beautifully considered and perfectly restrained music that will delight fans of Low, Adrian Crowley, Nina Nastasia, Mark Kozelek, and Jason Molina.
Deftly fingerpicked folk loveliness from a local favourite - Michael Rossiter perfectly executes traditional folk as well as his own material, sings from his heart and gets the perfect sound from his guitar.
