About me: We are a new music store to the Farmville area. We opened in August of 2006 and business has been great! We have loved becoming part of the music community in Southside and hope to continue supporting local musicians of all skill levels and genres. We hope that our store will be more than just a place to buy strings, but that it will be a second home and a place to come "pick" with your friends. We specialize in new/used electric and acoustic guitars and basses, sound equipment, and bluegrass instruments. We also have a professional recording studio where we can do everything from your simple demo to your finished cd ready for the shelves. Our capabilities extend from cover art design to mass duplication for large scale distribution. Every Tuesday night we have a Bluegrass Jam starting at 7 p.m. and ending whenever we finish!!! We also have an Open Mic Night every Wednesday starting at 7:30 p.m., where anyone is welcome to come and play. It's an awesome time listening to great local talent. So if you love "pickin'", want to show off your talent, get some feedback on your song writing, or record your music "The Creek" is the place to come every week!
What a pleasure to see you Thursday night and thank you for your support and attendance- it is much appreciated. Expect an envelope in the mail this week from us and when you get a chance, we need your logo to put on our website.
Cheers to the both of you and have a great summer! Laura and Kagey
I had a blast as well! There was some mighty fine picking as well, that always makes for a good time. Look forward to coming back. Well see you guys in Nashville! Later, Stephen
no worries, you'll not be rid of me so easy :) we had a great time and I like long drives with a good friend like jimmy, and some good tunes on the cd player it reminds me of younger days when we would road trip just for the fun of it.
So, I was yet again reminded why I love Open Mic at Buffalo Creek... I've been suffering from writer's block for a while, and as soon as I got home tonight, I successfully wrote an entire song! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!!! Yay for a break from writer's block!!
Gary, sorry I missed you guys Wed! Bill gave me "what-for" as he calls it, tonight. I was pretty heavy into a painting I'd been working on the last couple of days straight and it just slipped my mind completely. We'll try again next week. Bill said it was a blast. Packed house. I can't wait! Blessings.
