My government name is THABANI NDLOVU aka BUFFALO SOULJAH the good samaritan I'm the third born in a family of 4 children two sisters and and one late brother. I was born 16 September 1980, 5 months after the Independence of Zimbabwe, in a city called Bulawayo.

I moved to Harare, the capital city of Zimababwe, at an early age. I attended primary school in Glenview and I completed school in a famous ghetto called Mufakose. I was raised by mother Rosebud after my parents separated. I started music at an early age, composed my first song when I was about 8 years called “Zuva randisingakanganwe” which means “The day I will never forget”. That song was inspired by the baboons that chased me and my late brother after we had provoked them.

Most of my inspiration came from my father who passed away in 1992. He was a jazz artist and he worked as a saxophonist with one of Zimbabwe's greatest artists called THOMAS MAPFUMO in the 70s and the early 80s. When he passed away I started concentrating on my music, and formed a group called Intelligent Racuss Cruuks in 1996, just after I completed high school. The group included David Zulu aka Deva Soul, Stewart Chamirai aka Jon Doe and myself, formerly known as ULD aka Prettybway. We dropped about three afro hip hop albums which did not do well because people were not ready 4 the fusion we were doing at the time. It was a mix of the traditioinal music called jiti and hiphop which involved the usual drum and bass sequence and the Zimbabwean instrument called MBIRA .

I left Zimbabwe in 1999 for South Africa but I started visiting since 1997, looking for a record deal. I started working with a couple of SA artists since 2000 featuring on their tracks,then in 2002 I met up with KWEKU aka INSTINCT from GHANA we started working together. After a while we formed the STREET DISCIPLES which includes TURAS from GHANA who used to work with the BLACK MONKS and a SOUTH AFRICAN from Soweto whose name is PAPSZIDO from a group called AUTO KASI. Together we dropped an album called THE CHOSEN ONES under our own label called DA APPOSTELS.

Also worked with Mzilikazi WaAfrica for good times records, on my Afro Jazz Album called Indlovu Yangena. I have just recently signed a record deal with HOTWAX records which is owned by DJ WAXXY. I also met up with Maye and IGHO who I am currently working with, on the production side is Kunle Ayo for K-COOL PRODUCTIONS, IGHO & D MAN .
