Buff Daddy is a Hard Rock band hailing from the tri-state area, with influences ranging from Kiss to Frank Sinatra. Buff is a melodic blend of crunch, melody and raw Rock n' Roll, bringing the stages and crowds alive. In 1996, drummer Mark Chiaramonte answered an ad in The Aquarian, a local music paper, for a Vampire band called Phantasm from New Jersey. There he met guitarist/songwriter Bobby Michaels. Mark's stay with the band only lasted a year, but made a lifetime friendship with Bobby. Although they lost contact for a brief period, they managed to reunite in 1999. Mark and Bobby sat down and said, "O.K., it's time to rock again." After only nine rehearsals they started to open for nationals such as Dee Snider, TT Quick, Dokken, Quiet Riot, Lizzy Borden, Yngvie Malmsteen, Bulletboys, and Sebastian Bach. Just when it was as good as it gets, so Mark and Bobby thought, a line-up change occured, and with it, a brief time off. In came singer/songwriter Glenn Mihl (Primal Scream, solo artists) and then long time friend John Byar picked up his bass again. Two rehearsals later they were opening for nationals again, including Bret Michales (Poison). shortly after Buff Daddy hit the studio recording their debute cd "who's your daddy" departure of john on bass . Good friend and fellow musician Rick O'neil stepped in on bass although a guitar player in is own band . he proved he was ready to rock !!! And rock he did,,,With one rehearsal and 12 songs on the plate , we rocked opening for nationals again ,,, With cd sales total over 800 in 3 months , not bad for an unsigned band who stays true to the roots of our generation and will never change! WE WILL CONTINUE TO ROCK -
