Cheers for Saturday night guys. It was fuckin awesome. From what i remember. There's a few photos, and aparently some naked ones going around the town too. Fuckin loved it. just a shame many people were too scared to join in with the dancing/big pink cuddle/falling over.
THANKS AGAIN
I LOVE YOU ALL XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Come on guys, when are you puffs gonna get your act together, and get back on stage again. It's about effin' time, don't you think? I miss having an excuse to crossdress, dance with inflatables and drink Lambrini. I know i don't need an excuse, but I WANT ONE!!!
Last week, in some distant time, on some distant plain, where the horse is king and gay means happy, The Five wizards that are the Gay Horses made a new, drunken, ever lasting mark on the world.
Went to War got recorded.
Enlisting the services of Bartus of Banarnia www.myspace.com/bartbanana
we settled into a living room and cider situation. That drums were laid down (sans drummer) by Alex, The Guitar tracks (Of which there are four) got laid down too by Goffywood and Alex, Dillon done his bass thing and I did some vocal stuff.
Grand, you may think. But no. Backing vocals had to occur. I urge you at this point to right click on our profile picture and open us in a new window. Listen to the song.
Hear the shouting. Hear the Monk chanting. Hear the impromptu story about knicker necklaces (at the end). Hear the Kazoo and the strange boinging noises. Hear the seal noises. Hear the dog noises. Hear the Kitten's miaow.
I point out that all sound effects are live. no animals were harmed in the making of this song. You might think it is shit. It isn't. Keep listening it til you like it. I went back later and re-recorded sober. That has done wonders.
Onto song writing. Our recording jibby got cancelled sooooooooo we all went round to Adam's house. Adam had been off work (a curious theme develops) with a holiday day). The panic of sorting out an alternative horseplan led me to press Beccy www.myspace.com/nerv0sa to try and find us an open mic night to play at using her internet skills. I have no internet at home see. My house is horse powered. There were a fgew things we could have done. I phoned Jonny C www.myspace.com/mechanicalswagger and Bart banana and texted Eddie the saxophonist www.myspace.com/buggatheband to see if owt were doable.
In the end I tought my three new songs to the horses, with me, Alex, Goffy and Dillon on acoustics (quite a sound) and Nik playing makeshift drum using my son's toybox, a toy drum, a box and an old bowl. They are 'Transformer Grilfriend', 'Baby don't cry' (a serious one for the ladies) and our collective fave 'HORSEFLASH!' inspired by Nik's earlier organisational text message.
We had some drinks, went to the pub. With our guitars. I handed out handwritten fliers. We waited for the Jukebox to stop.
