BUGZ BIZARRE: Hellbound Entertainment Introduces Bugz Bizarre
My music represents that Bay Area movement. It has a blend of hyphy, a little rider, and it's all heart. It's a new sound that's breaking the barrier of the music scene.
It wasn’t until the seventh grade that I noticed I had written talent. I always liked reading poems and noticed that rap was a form of poetry. In the eighth grade I formed a rap group consisting of two of my closest friends (Jeremy a.k.a. Rode Runna, and Edward Ezeb), and my cousin (Chris Nunn a.k.a. B. Stupid).
I've been in the hip-hop state of mind since I was 13 years of age. I grew up listening to Coolio, a little Kid and Play, Will Smith, and Tupac. As I got older, the music I listened to changed. I started listening to Death Row Records artists such as Snoop Dog, Daz, and the refined 2Pac, and East Coast artists such Jay-Z and Nas. I started producing music when I was 16. I followed Dr. Dre for a while, but found guidance in Lil Jon, and Rick Rock.
In 2003, I formed my own hip-hop label, Hellbound Entertainment. In the summer of 2004, the Bay Area’s Hyphy Movement became an event which changed the way I viewed rap production. I always liked the gritty sound of down south rap, so I decided to add that with the energy of the Bay Area music. I rap, produce, ghostwrite, and have a few scripts under my belt.
