THE HISTORY OF B.A.M.
Build A Machine is a hard-hitting funk rock trio based out of Boston, MA. In late 2006, they packed up the van and headed west to Los Angeles, CA to make the dream a reality. They rented a house in The Salton Sea Desert (remember the movie with Val Kilmer of the same name, or Into the Wild) to write and demo their debut EP. Shortly after the writing was complete, the band headed to Laurel Canyon in the Hollywood Hills to record it with legendary producer Dave Aron (Sublime, Snoop Dogg, U2) While in the recording studio, they gained the attention of Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction, Porno for Pyros) who came by and added percussion to one of there songs. After recording wrapped, the boys headed out on a North American tour which took them to the world-famous Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Long Beach, San Diego, Utah, New York, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Boston. They released the 6 track EP "Once Around The Sun" in 2007 which recieved airplay on Boston's 104.1 WBCN, 107.3 WAAF, and a number of college radio stations. The band recently completed their debut Full-Length with acclaimed producer Dan Rothchild (Beck, Better Than Ezra, The Doors) at Swinghouse Studios in Hollywood, CA.
