Basically I'm just a guy who likes music as a hobby. I recently started playing the harmonica again with the intention of learning to play blues. So I created this profile to have a place to upload my music as I record it. Mostly when I record it's just me practicing and it's usually improv.
Check out this video review of one of my custom harmonica
Hey Chris! Did you come to the Bear Creek Blues Fest in Slater last weekend? I played with my friend Keith Fletcher as the intermission act during all the set changes. It was an honor to warm up for bands like Mike Zito and Lil' Ed. Big fun!
Best to practice on old harps, but I think 'screwing-up' harps is part of the training... you just add the failures to your bin of harp parts for future projects.
I like trying alternate tunings, like the Paddy Richter tuning (3 Blow raised a full step)... screwed up a few harps (but have had success too).
Good to have a supply of extra reeds for transplants!
Nothing is so simple that it can't be screwed up !
Hi Chris... saw your post on Harp-L. Love those custom brass combs you made! Looks like alot of work! But should be much more air tight than the pear wood combs.
Working and adjusting those reeds will make them much better too!

Your machining skills (and tools!) are a real plus... something I would like to do someday!
