patience...there seems to be a consistent whisper for constant presence and restraint amidst the inclinations of these summer fraught days. Time is due, and in due time... Thankyou for Your patience with me. But let us speak of spring... from a spell of hibernation: in the transience of this early 2010, among the gathering of the trembling pieces into place, there has been a date set for the release of the Devotionals record: the album will be released on Alive Records (alive-totalenergy.com) and will be available in most record stores July 13th. Having excavated these sounds from within under the sensitive eye of Donny Newenhouse at Center of the Mile, in the depths of Capp st. San Francisco- i have been humbled to be joined by Anton Patzner and Lewis Patzner (Judgment Day), Andrew Maguire (Honeycomb), and Jeff Blair in the process of invigorating the songs into their own life. These songs, this project, has been born Devotionals. This page will be dedicated to the path of Devotionals as it is revealed. -prayers.ruminations...plain existence. Devotionals is only a moniker set to represent the thing we all do upon our awakening. It is a statement of existence, and the rumination on the "how to" of the everyday breathe. The band is for the most part Anton Patzner(Judgment Day), Jeff Blair, and Tyson Vogel. Based around the guitar compositions of the latter, Anton invigorates the space with his inspired form of violin mastery and intuition, Jeff percussive sensitivity and heart.
