We're a popular vegetarian bistro in the heart of L.A.'s famously cool and classy Melrose-LaBrea-Fairfax district south of West Hollywood and in trendy and hip Silver Lake. Bulan is owned and operated by three friendly Thai women with extensive restaurant experience who guarantee top-notch quality and service. Bulan capitalizes on the combined skills of its owners by specializing with the exotic flavors of Thai cooking and offering exciting vegetarian food. The creative Bulan menu features a variety of delicious and nutritious Thai and fusion vegetarian entrees, appetizers, desserts and refreshments. Ingredients are premium select, fresh and aimed at good health as well as great taste. NO meat, NO refined sugars, NO m.s.g. and NO trans fats are used in Bulan's cooking. Traditional and authentic Thai dishes have been updated into bold and adventurous vegetarian and vegan delights. Even fussy eaters and stubborn carnivores will find items on the menu to please their palates and appetites. All dishes are cooked to order so special requests can often be accommodated. Bulan's atmosphere is tidy, contemporary and cozy. Live jazz is featured on some weekend evenings.
