| General | With such a variety of people being part of the society there are many interests and always someone who will share that interest.
The reason the LGBT society is successfuland why its great to be part of it is because we all have one shared interest....being either L.G.B.or T. This gives us a common identity which unites us all and provides a great support and friendship network.
If your someone who wants to get on the scene, an activist who wants to tackle LGBT rights, or just want a good night out, the society is the perfect thing for you.
Some of the interests and events we get up to may be just the thing for you.
| | Music | We have a very ecletic variety of tastes in music in the society, whether we are shaking our sexy butts in Bent to the dance music, or camping it up with Sally Vate's cheesy classics, or going hardcore down at Dusk til Dawn we are always having a great time.
Quite often we show off our talents and try to impress at karaoke at the Branksome, come along even if its just to laugh at us :) | | Movies | We can regularly be found watchin whatever gay classic film they are playing in the Xchange. Always kills the convo lol. But then again that could be better than the spin the bottle game from last year - FRESHERS BEWARE!!! | | Television | Last year the girls had a night in watching the L Word, and im sure similar nights will happen again. | | Books | When your fed up reading all those books you have to for your course the LGBT is the perfect place to chill.
And every so often we run away from university to escape all the pressures and assignments and have our trips. Las year was Manchester. Look out for news about this years plans- Brighton, Cardiff and London!! | | Heroes | Apart from eachother- aww aint we sweet, yuk! we have many a hero. Get in touch to add urs here |

About me:
HELLO! Welcome to the New and Improved Bournemouth University Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Trans Society Myspace page.
The LGBT is a social and political society which works with the Bournemouth University, the Arts Institute, and partnership colleges to raise and improve all issues involving its LGBT students, as well as being a place for people who have shared views and a common interest to meet and have fun. The society has an elected commitee that helps to organise social events and campaigns. We regularly meet to discuss LGBT issues and have regular socials on the Bournemouth gay scene as well as other fun locations.
This year has seen the LGBT grow and improve, a trend we wish to continue. We are always happy to see new members. If you want to get involved contact us. Add us to your Myspace friends to receive regular updates on events, socials, campaigns and trips. Right Finally the BULGBT facebook group has been sorted and is now an open group. I've tried to invite as many people onto it as are on my facebook list but sadly your not all on it! if you want to find it type BULGBT into facebook and at the moment its the one with 16 members (not the one with 40)
BULGBT on facebook is now open for everyone to join. just search BULGBT then press join group and it should let you all join. sorry for the trouble :)

im sure last nigth was enjoy by all :P i had a cool time even with my hang over. bit disappointed how every went home so early tho. no staying power to b honest!
righty guys the LAST social of the year is happening on friday :) starts off at Quazar at 6:30pm its reeeeeeaaalllly cheap(bout 4 pounds) and doesnt take up much of the evening. after it for those who want to we will be going for drinks up in the triangle then those hardcore amoung us are goign to Bent :) hope ya come and hope ya enjoy. cyas there
