Bullet Safe Inside is a band that was formed out of the ashes of Jason's former musical projects. He wrote and recorded songs alone for a good long time, and then came in Velzy saying he'd like to contribute... and he did. After that, they hooked up with drummer Evan Fiegel and bassist Andy Friedman. Now together, they are Bullet Safe Inside.
The sound that we try to portray is encompassing really of all of our different influences, with some shining through more than others. In our music you can hear the presence of a lot of early 90s rock and roll influence from bands like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and the Posies, as well as our other influences like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Nordic Folk-Metal, dream pop bands like Mazzy Star, and even hints of the Grateful Dead.
We are a very diverse band and have explored many styles and will continue to do so. We are currently working on a folk-metal album as well as simultaneously working on the new LP Beguiling Dream (from which are a lot of songs are on this site).

heey heyy Jason! hehehe, last nite I had a dream where you told me about a new song hehe, and here it is! the acoustic guitar sounds great, specially along the guitar solo, in fact it is great that you re working with Velzy, finally BSI is taking shape! I guess that you will already have 87 albums when you find all yr bandmates... and that doesnt mean that it is taking you so long, in fact you re pretty quick at songwritting! and everytime you deliver something new and different, thats what I just love of Bullet safe inside. I know it took me a looong time to reply, but I ve been a bit busy this month, but of course I have time to listen to your music :) I just listened to ulver, and hell yeah, they sound very eclectic, in fact I think that listening to different kind of music is what really creates a different sound, and I dont mean to be one of those "neo-experimental" fuckers that think that mixing salsa with happy punk would sound cool.. but when you learn to appreciate something different, thats when a new door opens in front of you (I know it sounds dumb, but its true...somehow) Well, have a great week-almost weekend! and keep sharing your music, aah and by the way, I have 3 songs I think you havent listened to...
