-BCKD-
Since 2005 Bullets Can't Kill Danny has been showcasing the bay area with their high energy rock. With influences including grunge, punk rock, indie, and folk, BCKD is the product of the band's need to create a sound entirely original.
After a number of years as a part of the east bay hardcore scene, Skyler began experimenting with a new sound that led him in the direction of forming the power trio. After playing numerous shows in many venues, Sky’s project “Ansley” separated. Almost immediately after, Skyler Kilborn (guitarist), Hadley Davis (bass) and B.J. Jenkins (formerly drums) formed “Bullets Can’t Kill Danny.”
During the three years to follow the band lived in the studio refining and solidifying a style, and composed a large archive of material. With an in your face vocal style full of catchy melodies, raw emotional riffs, and a percussive nuance that altogether forms a captivating bigness, it’s hard to believe their age.
“When we write songs they always have an underlying message for the listener, but we make sure to never shove it in the their face." The new record 'The War to Come' as a whole is a display of the depth of storytelling in Skyler's lyrics, as well as an exposition individually of personal inner struggles within each song. "We try really hard to not try really hard when writing songs, instead we focus on conveying a meaning and feeling within each song."
Whether it’s their intense stage show or perfection in the studio, BCKD continues to refine and improve their style. The current lineup of Skyler Kilborn on lead vocals, and guitars, Hadley Davis on Bass, effects, and backing vocals, Egan Kolb on guitar and backing vocals, and Logan Grimé on drums and percussion, is pushing forward with the new release. The debut record “The War To Come” is certainly starting a buzz.
To the boys in the ground, and the ones who survived.

Here are some things said about us...
"Okay so this is for our rockers out there who dig the indie scene but every once in awhile want to seriously jam and drum and let out some steam.
You'll get all that and then some with this punk-induced band "Bullets Can't Kill Danny" With a hard edge and infectious vibe they'll instantly impress anyone who appreciated 90s rock; while also piquing the interest of more the more subdued music lovers.
Skyler Kilborn, Hadley Davis and B.J. Jenkins are the screw providing these thunderous tracks. Hear the drums roll, the excellent acoustics in "Tornadoes" and the opening hooks in "With Snow" that will have your head rocking and your foot tapping before you even know what hits you." - Inde Music Xposed
Shockingly amazing!
They wanted to know about the drums well, they are so catchy i'm gonna try to learn to play them myself. Lyrics are catchy, to tell you the truth i don't hear much guitar but it fits. You can kinda picture it as a guns n' roses kind of drums and style with a mix of country voice when you think about it. But when the outro comes its pure rock n' roll!
"Wicked.
This is a cool tune, I can see a crowd of people just rockin out to this at a live concert. Very Foo fighters! Cool lead vocals, especially the aggresive parts. This voice can probably rock to metal any day. very rough and cool. The chorus is cool. Yes it is quite hooky. awsome job overall."

"Wow....
This sounds like it was written by hillbillies from hell. At first I didn't like it. But after about the the third verses I was bobbing my head to it and tapping my feet. The drums were simple yet effective and kept you going throughout the song. When the song broke down and verged on the edge of true rock I nearly had to pinch myself to believe this is an unsigned band. It just clicked on so many levels the harmonica the drums. I can't wait to see what else this band has to offer." - DreamNightmare-Laurel, Mississippi
"I wanted to tell you I really like your new band. Its really cool. I honestly don't think I like ANY local bands anymore, so hearing your new band is a breath of fresh air." -Peter from Pleasanton CA
"well every other band has been a copy of a grunge want to be. at least there is a band out there who is from the heart agin.. " - John Allen
"you aint nothin but a bunch of bitches"
"Folk rock? more like folk shit. you guys suck, go kill yourself" - OUR BIGGEST FAN

It's been far, far too long guys. We have a new guitarist and we're starting to poke our head back out into the world. Let's do it again soon shall we?! If any of you are around this weekend we're playing at the Rockit Room in SF. Come out and have a drink with us! We play first (8:30) so apparently we're catching the end of Happy Hour at that point...not a bad thing!! Either way, let's make something happen soon! Much love!!!
What's goin' on Bullets Cant Kill Danny? I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. All my thoughts are lost to your graceful gaze? I keep searching for you between the cushions. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a thousand supernovas. Blinking reveals the true visage of beauty hidden within your eyes. Your eyes are like spheres of crystal water filled with shimmering dreams. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. I sense wild vapors of sweet champagne in your larynx. You turn the atmosphere ablaze with currents of sweet ethylene when you smile. Entranced by the sweet harmony of your lips, I gaze beyond reason to find the oasis of your brilliant soul. Your wonderfully bright soul keep the demons from torturing me. What wonderful vibrations you are capable of. The stickers hugging the fruit smell better than the perfume of ambergris. You are dressed with filaments and people take pains to make you fully incandescent this evening. Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you.

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer.
When asked to define "great" he said, "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger!"
He now works for Microsoft, writing error messages...
