Bullpen Bulletins Podcast is a celebration of all things Marvel--comics, characters, creators, films, toys, animation, you name it!
Early one Saturday morning in the Windy City, a group of convention-weary friends were relaxing and talking about comic books, podcasts, and comic book podcasts. Everyone agreed that there should be a podcast similar to Raging Bullets focusing on Marvel comics. (Raging Bullets is a DC Comics Fan Podcast focusing on DC Comics and its many publications and imprints. Sean and Jim put out a wonderful show and even if you do not like the comics put out by DC or their characters, after listening to these two gentlemen, you may think there's something you missed. So, why Vince and David? They've been fast friends ever since their first face-to-face meeting at the CGS Episode 100 celebration.
Vince is a longtime Marvel reader. His first exposure, at the tender age of five, was Fantastic Four #48, the work of Jack Kirby and a landmark issue. Kirby not only infused Vince with a love of comics, but also plotted a course for his life in the process, prompting him to follow in the King's footsteps by seeking out a career in art.
David remembers the second issue of the Marvel comics movie adaptation of Blade Runner as the first comic book he purchased from the newstand almost twenty-five-years-ago. David also avidly followed Spider-Man's adventures in the newspaper.
