Bamblebee is a band that is in a constant search for something new and interesting… Despite the fact that we have a standard rock structure we do not confine ourselves to any particular style. We started working on our music drawing influences from the English language alternative music mixed with funk and grunge, but at some point our music started to transform and change. And this process will always continue, because only everlasting search helps to move forward. Experiment is the most important thing in our lives. At one point we used to write some stuff in Russian language, but not because it is compulsory in Russia. We were interested in the creative side of this process. As a consequence, our music transformed a little more and now we can’t classify it in any definitive way. And what for?
Peter Sarantsev (guitar) pays great attention to arrangements and non-standard approach to material… more electronic sounds, more new sounds and space… Den Zhdanov (guitar) is a true rock fellow – girls, wine and rock and roll. Thanks to him our music is filled with some kind of brutality and drive, his energy on the stage boils over… We really love Irakli Tcholadze for the attractive jazz sound of his drums. He is a real fan of jazz-rock.Fedor Kandinsky (bass) – a wise and calm connoisseur doesn’t pay attention to anything around him and just plucks the thick strings of his beautiful bass guitar. And Natalie Gutartseva (vocals) brings life to all this… but harmony is everywhere…uniqueness makes our music bright and alive!
Московская группа Bamblebee – это неудержимый голос эмоций кудрявой брюнетки Натальи в музыкальном сопровождении четырех прекрасных мужчин. Они вместе учились в музыкальной школе им. Дунаевского. Тогда же сколотили группу. Следуя моде, писали на английском. Позднее, однако, отдали предпочтение родному русскому. Усердно репетировали. Играли по клубам. Постепенно отошли от альтернативы и вернулись к первоисточникам, к своим кумирам: the Police, Nirvana, Skin, Incubus. Молодые и позитивные, они играют, по собственному выражению, "яркую и солнечную музыку". Ее нельзя назвать модной. Ребята не стремятся подражать современным веяниям инди-культуры или так называемого пост-рока. Это музыка в стиле Bamblebee. Свой первый альбом группа записала весной 2008. К декабрю был готов мастер. Сейчас группа ищет лейбл, чтобы его выпустить.
