About me: I am a career homeless Bum.
Always wanted to be a bum ever since I was a teenager. It was my destiny. Reading Buddhism, Socrates, early Christianity, Jack Kerouac, Steinbeck and Bukowski books simply gave me intellectual justification for this otherwise insane bent in my brain.
Grew up in the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles (where "Boyz in the Hood" was filmed). Busted my leg up bad playing basketball, after which I drop out of school after the 7th grade. Realized i had a talent for writing, but little discipline to sit down and write.
Left LA when I was 22 to bum around. Was in San Fransisco traveled across the United States and into England, Netherlands, France, Spain and Morocco. (Got kicked out of Spain).
I self publish some of my writings in a book I called "Sketches of Nothing By A Complete Nobody" (I blogged a few of the stories in my book above). I originally had 300 of them printed up. I gave most of them away. Then I made ends meat by selling them on the street for $20 each. Now I sell them for $250 each to rare book collectors(I only have about 15 left). I also put on a one night play called "Masturbation Theatre Presents and Other One Act Ejaculations on Stage". I had a monthly column in a local newspaper for exactly one month. The second month the publisher objected to the word "cunt" in my story. So I changed it. But she REALLY didnt like what I changed it into. At which time our two paths were amputated (I blogged the story "Bumdog 4 Dummies).
While living downtown I curated art shows with my friends. The first one I did was "Barflies, Bodyparts, Bedlam and Bumdogs: A Photographic Journey Through Downtown Artist District".
I also made a feature film based on my book, I made the whole thing while living on the streets.
