C’est après avoir performé pendant trois ans dans une des premières troupes de néo burlesque française que CERISE DIVA CHAMPOMY et MISS GLITTER PAINKILLER se lancent en avril 2006 dans un nouveau projet de show s'inspirant directement de leurs consoeurs américaines tout en gardant une petite touche bien "frenchie".
Elles recrutent alors trois nouvelles performeuses, SUGAR CANDY KISSES, LOLLIPOP DEATH CRUSH et VALENTINA DEL PEARLS et forment la toute nouvelle revue : les BUMP N' GRIND HONEYS.
En Mai 2007 SUGAR CANDY KISSES & LOLLIPOP DEATH CRUSH quittent la troupe, place à DOUBLE DICE DAISY qui a performé au Canada et aux USA pendant 15 ans et ZOE KILL! KILL! PUSSYCAT une fabuleuse danseuse orientale.
Leur point commun ? Un goût prononcé pour l’esthétique des années folles ou encore l’imagerie pin-up des années 50 et des influences puisées dans le travail d’artistes tels que le Velvet Hammer, Dirty Martini, Dame’s in Disdress ou encore Kitten on the Keys.
Leurs shows sont une succession de tableaux mêlant glamour, comédie légère, danse exotique et strip tease. Le tout saupoudré d’une bonne dose de kitsch !
Biography in english :
After having performed during three years in one of the first new-burlesque revues in France, CERISE DIVA CHAMPOMY and MISS GLITTER PAINKILLER decide to start in april 2006 a project of show inspired by american burlesque girls but with a "french touch".
They hire three other performers: SUGAR CANDY KISSES, LOLLIPOP DEATH CRUSH and VALENTINA DEL PEARLS and and create the brand new revue : the BUMP N' GRIND HONEYS.
In May 2007 SUGAR CANDY KISSES & LOLLIPOP DEATH CRUSH leave the band, welcome to DOUBLE DICE DAISY who has performed 15 years in Canada and in the USA and ZOE KILL! KILL! PUSSYCAT a fabulous belly dancer.
They have a common fascination for 20’s and 30’s golden age as well as 50’s pin-up imagery and their work is deeply influenced by artists such as Velvet Hammer, Dirty Martini, Dame’s in Disdress and Kitten on the Keys.
Their shows are a sequence of scenes combining glamour, light entertainment, exotic dance and strip tease with more than one’s fair share of kitsch !
