   About BunicaBeats
FOREWORD: all the lyrical melodies from the songs on the player are improvised on the spot, at the moment of recording. Nineca was born in Italy, raised in Spain and has spent over 14 years in Canada. Nineca has been performing in Ballet, Choir and Pop-rock bands for most of her child/teen hood years. She was taught how to polish her voice by her Opera Diva Grand Mother Liz, to whom she is so grateful. Though she took a break from music and focused on visual art for 8 years (check myspace/ninimage), she found her passion for song, instruments and the stage was greater, so she brought music in to her life again. Nineca opened the doors to her musical career in Edmonton, finding a large support network in the performing and visual arts. Ninecas most obvious talent is her improvisational skills, which she has also used in acting and is good at, coupled with her stand alone inspiring voice, her versatility and her multi-instrumentation. During sessions, she is known to infuse songs with African, Asian, Hindi, and tribal phonetically sounding languages, also mixing in her native Spanish and Mallorquin. She can also include French and Italian when the moment calls for it. She mixes in these melodies and cultural resonances into her ensemble when the set calls for it, but she can also draw from a wide range of musical influence to customize vocals to a specific genre. Nineca currently performs at festivals and in town showcasing her original compositions on Guitar and Djembe, and her improv sets. She has also done two west coast tours. Nineca plays self learned Guitar, Djembe, Didgeridoo, Drum Kit, Xylophone, Recorder, percussive instruments and Base Guitar. She studied Piano and Voice in school. Nineca works in studios as a session musician, teaches Vocal Techniques, and jams at least once a week. Nineca is also in the process of recording a quadruple cd set aimed for release in December 09 so stay tuned. She also is a member of the musical act Tonona, where she and D-Lan Toymaker make extatic psypholk industrial pop-rock ambiental experimentation. They do this by playing live instrumentation and vocals through pedals, synthesizers, loopers and finally through Abolten Live, all in a live performance usually of a 2 hour duration. Nineca ultimately finds her inspiration by means of her wild spirit and aware connection to universal source. She draws from the infinite pool of knowledge available to all and shares freely with out holding anything back. The key for her to be able to comfortably channel is to be centered in the Now, to be content, selfless and have the skills to connect with other musicians or space. If you have any insights you'd like to share, or you'd like to collaborate, I'd be delighted to hear from you. Love and light fellow beings. COLLABORATIONS AND OTHER PROJECTS She has worked with Shamik in an all New track called the Spell. It was recorded at BarassMonkey Productions Studio by John Armstrong. The takes are live and completely improvised with out any planning or arrangement. Hope you enjoy.
