Influences
As with any Worship band the main influence is the Holy Spirit! But musical influences are the likes of Hillsongs United, Delirious?, Tim Hughes, Matt Redman, Lex Buckley, Martin Layzell, little bit of Kirk Fanklin in there... and any other musical influences on whoever is leading at the time...
B:United is an event more than a band. The Band itself is a constantly changing part of these bi-monthly events held all over Basingstoke. The basic reason and purpose of B:United is to unite young people from all over Basingstoke together in order to worship God!
"A Growing, happening, Fun, Friendly, Christian worship event for the youth of the Basingstoke area, all welcome, no denomination boundary ( hence B = Basingstoke UNITED = we are all one in Jesus)"
In 2004, two large youth groups in Basingstoke: "the edge" and "Taste" decided to run a joint event of live music and worship. 200+ teenagers from accross Basingstoke showed up to it, and after a great evening of fun (and far more importnatly of adoration and worship) the obvious decision was made to try and hold these regularly. Three years down the line we have no intention of stopping!

There is no restriction however on new ideas for bringing an offering to God in the future. Any ideas are greatly welcomed. The only thing that's really left to say is come along! If you have a heart for worship or are curious about what young Christians in Basingstoke really stand for, live for, and do with themselves then B:United is the best place for you!
