And when I'm not in the bone yard... I'm creating alternate realities with my words...
And when I'm not creating alternate realities, I'm busy getting lost in other people's worlds....

RAINBOWS ALL OVER YOUR BLUES
John Sebastian - 1970
I been waiting my time just to talk to you
You..ve been lookin..all down in the mouth
and down at your shoes
Well, baby, I came to give you the news
I..ll paint rainbows all over your blues
I heard you been spending
a lot of your time up in your room
And at night you been watchin..
the dark side of the moon
You don..t talk to nonody
if they don..t talk to you
So Buddy and me came here
to sing you a tune
"I give up" is all you..ve really got to say
It..s time to find a new life style
Cause this really ain..t the way
Let..s go for a bounce
on my trampoline
I can show you the prettiest mountains
that you..ve ever seen
You better run to your closet
and fish out your blue suede shoes
I..ll paint rainbows all over your blues

Books
I love to read. I'm currently working on Stephen King's Hearts in Atlantis. Probably the best book I have read by him. The only other one that comes close to it is Eye of the Dragon. That was the only fairy tale he ever wrote, but shit! it was hard to put down. Hearts in Atlantis is much more profound. In the middle of the book there is a distinct connection between the Vietnam War and a college boy who ignores his education in order to gamble in a card game called Hearts. The book keeps introducing new characters, but repeatedly circles around the same theme of the big guy picking on the little guy and standing up for certain beliefs. A great book. I just wish I had more time to read!! Here are some more of my favorites...
Stephen King. Although there were a few times when my father was my hero: Once when I was a little girl and I got lost in the woods. It started to rain and I gave up trying to find my way home. I stood barefoot in the leaves crying and he came running around the corner. He scooped me up and carried me home. Another time, there was a young man with less than pure intentions that came to visit me. My father caught him in my bedroom when I was sleeping and he literally threw him out the front door. What a sight! He had that boy by the back of the shirt and by the back of his pants and just heaved him out into the street like trash!!! Ahh, good times. Good times!
About me:
I love to write. My last job was a reporter for a local weekly newspaper. I loved it, but the money was insultingly poor so I had to give it up. It came down to choosing between feeding myself and doing what I love. A hard choice, but in the end my survival instincts prevailed. Now I have a job at a local hotel that easily pays the bills, but I still freelance for the paper on the side. It's the perfect compromise for me right now.
I talk to crows because they bring messages from the dead... Yes, I'm a highly spiritual person with many interests in past life regression, hypnosis, mediations, spirtual realms, energy fields and other intangible things of the sort. I also really enjoy visiting historic gravesites and doing gravestone rubbings.
I like foods that begin with the letter P, like pretzels, pasta, popcorn, pizza, pickles and peanuts. Is this odd? Perhaps.
I value loyality and honesty in others and in return try to offer these same qualities to the people I love.
I think I would make a good therapist one day. I would also like to write a novel.
I wear a size 7 shoe and have never killed anyone.
Who I'd like to meet: I want to meet someone who will remind me that life is a journey, not a destination. And someone that will let me ride shot gun once in a while. I want to meet someone who can let me be crazy when I’m feeling insane. And someone that will reel me in when I’m too far gone. I want to meet someone that will let me drive through my own personal challenges without being a back seat driver. And someone who knows when to grab the wheel. I want to meet someone that can make me laugh when I’m on the verge of tears. And someone who will lend me a shoulder to cry on. I want to meet someone that will explore old gravesites with me. And someone that will think it’s as cool as I do. I want to meet someone who wants to try a new restaurant and eat something frightening. And someone that will be able to keep it down! I want to meet someone to travel and explore new places with. And I want someone to curl up with at home I want to meet someone who is brimming with creativity that will inspire me. And someone that will be inspired by me. I want to meet someone that will teach me new things. And someone that can learn with me. I want to meet someone that lights the spark. And someone who wants to fan the flames. I want to meet someone that will sing me a song, tell me a story, or paint me a picture. And someone to listen to stories I tell. I want to meet someone that will hold my hand when I’m scared. And someone who knows how to scare me. I want to meet someone that will rub my head when I can’t sleep. And someone that will stay up with me all night long. I want to meet someone who thinks the beach is more fun at night. And someone that will go and make sand angels there with me. I want someone who will listen when I have a bad case of motor mouth. And someone I can speak to without saying anything at all. I want to meet someone that believes in me. And someone to believe in. I want to meet someone who will put me at the top of their totem pole. And someone that wants to be at the top of mine. I want to meet someone who gets me.
