Hi, I'm Bunny Knutson. I'm an independent music producer, audio engineer, guitarist and songwriter.
In April of 2007, I started working at Neversoft Entertainment, an Activision-owned video game developer, as a MIDI Designer for the Guitar Hero series. I also wrote, and performed guitar and bass on, the backing tracks for the Tom Morello and Slash Boss Battles in Guitar Hero 3.
I was born in Iowa, grew up in Oregon, and lived in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1989-2007, before moving to Los Angeles to work on Guitar Hero.
I've played in bands like Puzzlefish, No Use For A Name, Funnelhead (with David Shamrock), Budderball (for a couple memorable shows), and one show with the stupendous Nuclear Rabbit, substituting for their original guitarist Pat Garner.
Since January of 2002, I've been a member of the Wig Lodge, a group of East Bay composers formed under the ideals of the Immersion Composition Society (ICS).
I have produced two recent albums of my own solo material, plus two albums by my ex-band Puzzlefish and one by the band Budderball. While I've enjoyed making dozens of underground remixes, I've also been responsible for several productions for corporations like Motorola and Verizon Wireless, including original compositions and remixes of songs by Black Eyed Peas, Linkin Park and Ne-Yo.
I'm always looking for new artists to work with, so if you're looking for an indie producer, please shoot me a message.
