I love the theatre.
Like to shoot pool and I'm not too bad most of the time.
I am kind of hating this totally free form format...need more guidance about what to write. Kind of afraid I'm going to just put something crazy out there and someone's going to call the cops. LOL Just kidding. I don't have anything that crazy.
Music
Love my friend James Katz's music, who invited me here. Love Marwood, who are also here on this site.
Other things...Ani DiFranco, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Neil Diamond, The Carpenters (though not as much as when I was growing up), The Beatles, Elvis...as you can tell, my tastes tend to run toward the old school, but I do like some newer things too.
I just don't listen to a lot of radio...get introduced to new music through friends and jukeboxes out at places. It works for me, though I do sound a little behind the times sometimes.
Movies
Top three favorites in no particular order: Casablanca, The Princess Bride and The Sting. Recently I really enjoyed Kill Bill, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 50 First Dates.
Like tons of older things too, How to Marry a Millionaire, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Blues Brothers, All About Eve...I love movies.
Television
Not been to into the reality craze til it came to The Apprentice and Last Comic Standing...the dating ones leave me cold. I just can't imagine taking something that emotional in your life and making into a game. The two I mentioned are more "job interview" kind of shows, and that's always kind of a game anyway. I like sitcoms, if they're good. And I have a Law and Order problem. It's probably good that I don't have cable or I'd never leave the house for watching every different incarnation of Law and Order that's on all the time.
Books
I love "Crime and Punishment" by Fydor Dostevsky. I just reread it recently and everyone was like, "Are you taking a class or something?" And I said, "No, I'm reading it for fun." Apparently people think it makes me hard core, but it's actually a really fun read once you get into it. Loved "Bastard Out of Carolina" by Dorothy Allison. Her other stuff is alright, but this one is great. I really enjoyed "The Alienist" and "Angel of Darkness" by Caleb Carr. I still think a funny read for women is "Sex Tips for Girls" by Cynthia Hymel. George Carlin's books are all really funny. And yes, I've started reading the Harry Potter series...liking it a lot. Charles Dickens is very good, if you can handle the fact that most of his stuff were written as monthly serials for magazines and he recaps at the beginning of each chapter. Enough about reading...it's good.
Heroes
I don't know if I have any...
I'm really impressed by Ani DiFranco and the way she's led her own career. I don't know...heros are hard to come by.

Welcome to the 'Verse, Carter! You'll find your guides to be fine, kind, and goofy people of the highest quality. If you should ever find yourself in the NY/PA zone, do look up Milo, who's got a couple of laps round the Sun on you, and might be able to offer some pointers.
Give my regards to your most excellent parents, and wish them all the best on the adventure than awaits them.
