BURITACA 200 es un proyecto multidisciplinario alimentado por la música, el vídeo y la expresión corporal. Es el deseo colectivo de mantener vivas las costumbres, el origen, la expresión y el sentimiento hacia la riqueza musical que ha existido durante siglos en Colombia.
BURITACA 200 comenzó como una agrupación-taller dedicada a estudiar la tradición oral y musical del caribe colombiano, su estilo revela una mezcla entre el folklore afro-colombiano y las propuestas que ofrece una ciudad tan cosmopolita como Barcelona.
Respetando las costumbres musicales de la región de la costa caribe colombiana y siguiendo el ejemplo de los indígenas que fusionaron sus vientos con la percusión africana llegada hace siglos en tiempos de la esclavitud, BURITACA 200 propone una fusión musical que aprovecha los recursos electrónicos de la mano de instrumentos de origen ancestral como la gaita colombiana, el tambor alegre, el llamador y la tambora.
BURITACA 200 ofrece un espectáculo colorido en donde la proyección de imágenes y la mezcla de luces en vivo envuelven al espectador en una experiencia de múltiples sensaciones.
BURITACA 200 es un grupo de gente que vive y sueña con lo que hace, personas que utilizan el "en vivo" para mantener encendido el fuego de la alegría y contagiarlo a quien lo ve, lo escucha y lo baila.
Mezclando ritmos afro-descendientes como la cumbia, el son corrido, el mapalé, el bullerengue, la salsa, el merengue, el reggae entre otros, con una puesta en escena explosiva llena de luces, proyecciones y baile, BURITACA 200 se ha convertido para sus integrantes en el medio ideal para expresar sus ilusiones, realidades y sueños.
BURITACA 200 ofrece un espectáculo que no tiene barreras y crea: PA’ GOZA!!!. Un espectáculo que está haciendo sensación y marcando huella en cada lugar en el que se presenta.
Después de tres años de experimentación, estudio y taller BURITACA 200 ha salido a las calles a revolucionar el panorama musical de la ciudad de Barcelona, España y Europa.
BURITACA 200 ha participado en festivales tan importantes como el Boom Festival en Portugal, el Concurso Sin fronteras de Chiclana de la Frontera en el cual resultaron ganadores del primer premio, el Festinoval de LLeida en el cual han resultado ganadores del premio “Lleida”, el Festival Etnosur de Jaén, el Festival Fimec de Chiclana de la Frontera, el Festival Sol Mestizo de Albacete, el Festival Espantapitas de Almería, el festival Fiesta mundial en Amberes-Bélgica, en Las Barracas de Sant Cugat, y la Fiesta Olot de colores. Así mismo actúa regularmente en las salas de concierto de la ciudad de Barcelona, entre ellas, la Sala Monasterio, La Bascula, Sidecar, La Resistencia, C3 Bar y salas de la periferia como La UREF en la Floresta, Can Humet en el Masnou y el Centro cultural alternativo de Sant Boi.

BURITACA 200 is a Barcelona-based multidisciplinary project that draws inspiration from music, video, and body language. It’s the collective desire to keep alive the customs, the origin, the expression and the feeling towards the musical richness that has lived through centuries in Colombia.
BURITACA 200 started out as a workshop group devoted to the study of the oral and musical tradition of the colombian caribbean region. Its style reveals a mixture between afro-colombian folklore and the culture that a city as cosmopolitan as Barcelona has to offer.
Keeping musical customs from the colombian caribbean coast, and following the example of the native american people that mixed their wind instruments with the african percussion that came during the time of slavery, centuries ago, BURITACA 200 proposes a musical fusion that takes advantage from electric and electronic resources, hand in hand with instruments of ancestral origin, such as the colombian gaitas, the alegre drum, the llamador, and the tambora, among others.
BURITACA 200 offers a colorful show, where live visual projections and light mixing envelope the audience in a experience of multiple sensations.
