| General | Girls hitting girls on skates and we keep it real. No shenanigans up with us only grueling scrimmages, great hard skating action, drill after drill, sprint jamming and body-blocking. | | Music | Glam Rap, Hip Hop, Old School, the 70's funk, 80's punk rock, 90's junk.
| | Movies | Beyond the drama...These tough, Not A Chance in the World with these Canadian kick-ass rollergirls flaunting persona attitude and dressed in jaw-dropping uniforms. | | Television | Who has time to watch television, Let's see...between Trash Talkin, Brawling, Bruises, Hard Hits, Tattoos, Piercing, Bars and Stiff Drinks, Mean Girls on Skates....did we mention ROLLER DERBY! | | Books | ROLLER GIRL-Totally True Tales From The Track. Women's Flat Track Derby is a real new sport for women. Each team has a bunch of blockers and one jammer. The entire point of the game is to get your jammer past the other team's blockers. And stop the other team's jammer, using almost whatever means necessary...a truly competitive sport. The attitude, however, has evolved into a punk-burlesque, where skaters sport alter ego names. All the nouveau derby girls are volunteers who sacrifice countless hours a week practicing, promoting, and savagely beating the crap out of each other to produce “bouts” that regularly draw crowds of several hundred. | | Heroes | Stand by....The fans that attend bouts range from white-collar professionals and soccer moms with kids in tow, to students and mohawked rockers. The majority of or fan base is from 21-35 years of age, with an emphasis on things alternative when it comes to music and entertainment. Much of our audience is comprised of those who spend a large amount of time in entertainment districts. But again, because of roller derby's glory, it appeals to many ages 7 to 70. |
