Through May 31, all donations to the Burma Challenge Grant will be matched 100%. Funds will be allocated to GI-NETs radio-based early warning system that enables Burmese civilians to receive and send warning information, regarding impending attacks by the Burmese military on villages. This system greatly enhances the time civilians have to prepare and flee from the attack. Consider what your gift can do: $27 Protects one Burmese household by adding them to the Early Warning Network. $680- Protects one village by adding them to the Early Warning Network. Please help GI-NET protect the innocent civilians in Eastern Burma today. Maria Consuelo	Oct 18 2009 7:55 PM In 2004 AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL along with OXFAM INTERNATIONAL and IANSA started a campaign for people to support the so callled ARMS TRADE TREATY. So much for the one million face campaign and the ITALIAN GOVERNMENT who had promised to face out militarisation of countries in spite of human beings lives ( i think of how france,italy,britain bypass laws to sell whatever weaponry to countries like BURMA / NIGERIA/ Sierra Leon and plenty of others where civil wars are part of people's daily lives) It is time to STOP them.
