Dedicated to showcasing quality live music and providing opportunities for Barnsley finest local bands, Burn Down The Disco is the longest running of its kind in this South Yorkshire borough!
Many presume that Burn Down started its days at the Arches, however, the birth of this popular indie night began at Panama Joes (some of the older generation will remember this much loved bar which was often frequented by students and music lovers in general), the foundations of providing Barnsley with live music was laid and blossomed when Panamas closed and the music scene ventured towards Arches.
After three years, Burn Down The Disco has relocated to a swankier venue, Lucorum. The adventure just gets better. Burn Down has joined forces with Audio Bullied to provide the best indie night around. With Burn Down supplying the live music and Audio Bullied mixing the tunes it’s value for money and you’re guaranteed a great night!
The timeline of Burn Down has included some of the best entertainment money just cant buy and the result allows Burn Down to stick a finger in almost any pie they wish. Heavy involvement with Darton M Fest has seen the small time local festival growing to compete with anything of its kind.
So, if the past has been, Milburn, One Night Only, The Paddingtons, The Complete Stone Roses, DJ sets from Mani, Bonehead, Matt Abbott, the future is worth the wait.

Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.
