This is about my involvement in starting Motown artists Switch and DeBarge, 1976 and 1979, respectively. In addition, I have started, together with Ed Wright, Chico DeBarge on Motown in the mid 80s and managed the late Bobby DeBarge to the end of his life. Bernd was influenced by whole bunch of great music, formost the classical music, he grew up with, than Jazz - you can read all on his website www.burndsman.com - Not included on burndsman.com: Bernd met all kind of good people around the world in his life. Grow up in Hamburg/Germany, The Star-Club, Beatles in Hamburg, early 60s, played around with his friends in Hesse - party - his sister Ulrike, Peter and Wilhelm whose family (von Schlieben) is incl. in quite a few European Royal Family Trees.This, incl. his sport - see below -, his military service 1963-65, had formed Bernd to be the person he is, being strong, know how to stand up, doing what he did and love ALL people. Interests: General Sports, work out, out doors, love to walk. Being a member of one of Germany's most famous and traditionel sport clubs, Hamburger SV (HSV), he was a German Junior Champion in Walking - 1961 - web search: 'Bernd Lichters, HSV-la' - you will find some info in German.
