About me:
Burning Hearts is Seattle’s premier producers of burlesque events, created and run by Cleo Petra. Burning Hearts has produced hundreds of events in and around Seattle, and launched the careers of many area performers since the first Burning Hearts production in 2002.

This myspace is the official placeholder for Burning Hearts Burlesque Presents. We are currently working on a new interactive website, which we hope to launch by 2010.

If you are interested in booking, or you are a musician, model, burlesque artist, go go girl, circus personality, hosts, or performer of any variety, you may contact burning hearts via e-mail, and which is read and responded to within 48 hours, by the shows founder and producer “Cleo Petra”.

We apologize for any delay in accepting your friend requests at this time. We will check out your sites and honor your requests as quickly as possible.

Thank you for being a part of your network of friends!!

Please contact: Cleo Petra Producer of Burning Hearts Burlesque & Bad Motor Booty Burninghearts2@yahoo.com / 206-898-9067 – No SPAM and no soliciting

Burning Hearts produces The Bed Room Club, the notoriously debauched burlesque party production that includes free dessert, naughty kittens, pin-up models, dj dance-party after, and more. The Bed Room Club ran as a weekly show in downtown Seattle’s riotous Pioneer Square district between 2005 and 2007; at the Fenix Underground and the Last Supper Club, as well as a run at Capitol Hill’s Northwest Actor’s Studio. For 2008, the deluxe version of the The Bed Room Club had it's last run in West Seattle’s historic Admiral Theater.

Burning Hearts also produces a variety of other events including live concerts for local and touring artists, dinner theater, art shows and more. Photobucket

Who I'd like to meet:
Burlesque people! Dancers, performers, musicians, kittens, and of course anyone who'd like to be entertained by the finest burlesque in Seattle! Photobucket Photobucket

Hiya,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hope you got a ridiculous amount of presents all of which you wanted very much. Also I trust that you spent Christmas with those you like best in all the world, cause otherwise, why bother? I am running away to Canada in January to record some music, so maybe I should incorporate that into my new years resolution... something, something, I will be creative and productive, blah, blah, blah. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, hope the holidays are great fun for you.

In early October I wrote one of my latest songs called, “Wall Street Bail Out Blues.” Within four days of writing it, a video crew captured me playing it on the street at Seattle’s Pike Place Market and posted their video on YouTube. That video has now reached the attention of a writer for The Wall Street Journal who is writing an article about those who have written songs about our tough economic times. His article will be published this week and I’m excited to read it.

Who knows where this might lead? Call me an optimist but I have a feeling that this could mean that a few more seconds of that elusive fifteen minutes of fame might be coming my way.

It ain’t the cover of the Rolling Stone but it’s not every day that a writer from a major worldwide news outlet seeks me out to talk to me about my songwriting. That’s a huge validation of my efforts at staying true to my vision. I must be doing something right.

Follow your dreams.

So I was downtown Seattle last weekend and this bum on the side of the road off 1st street gave me this poem. I'm think about using it in a song but not to sure if I should or not. Let me know what you think of it...

Midnight of a brave soul advances on the page of a burning book to heal the words of a hart while the eyes that read invite the most serene light to wash away the simple spell of hate on the dark cover of a noble letter.

The Shy Ones benefit from a firm grasp of punk history, the need for gritty crunch and sweet hooks, and the killer boy-girl harmonies from singer-guitarists Leif Pacemaker and Tessonja Odette. A handful of the quintet's songs have been captured in the studio by Briefs/Cute Lepers main man Steve E. Nix, the scene's spiritual leader, and both the Shy Ones' additional demos and undeniably entertaining live shows point to a bright future.
