Damn everything but the circus!
…damn everything that is grim, dull, motionless, unrisking, inward turning,
damn everything that won’t get into thecircle, that won’t enjoy,
that won’t throw its heart into the tension, surprise,
fear and delight of the circus, the round world,
the full existence…

Where to get POI (both Fire and L.E.D)
Lately I have been asked a few times "where do you get your POI", or "Where do I get POI from". To answer this I have assembled this list of sites I recommend and support for getting of POI from.
I have been buying POI from this site for a long time now, in fact I think my first set of fire POI was from them.
Pros - Established company that has been making High Quality POI and other gear for a long time. I never had a problem with any gear from them and most times (under regular use) my POI see about 2 years in the field before I retire them.
Cons - Based out of New Zealand so Shipping some times is slow and their gear tends to be a bit on the expensive side (but well worth it).
I recently started to use this company becouse of their innovative POI design and gerar. Some of ther products are custom made as well and thats a Plus for the artist looking to expand on their fire show and stand out.
Pros - Creative company that caters to the needs of the fire artist. Their gear is of good quality and in a affordable cost range.
Cons - I haven't been using them for that long so I don't know the long time holding power of their gear (but I am guessing it is good and their POI look high quality)
These are not fire POI but rather kick ass neat (L.E.D) poi. They have different modes built you can select, they flash when spinning making wild designs. So if your glow sticks are getting boring and you want to spic up your Light show - I highly recommend getting a set of these!
Pros - Fun, and a show stopper! They have different flashing patterns that look prey darn impressive, and at night its wild to see just strange light patterns flashing on the beach or in the underground Rave.
Cons - Light weight and if you relay contact the floor or hard edge you can split them -so they say. (but they sell casings for the POI that add extra weight on to them, and if they split -crazy glue works great). Also I found out that they are 2 different button weights (hard to press) and (easy to press). I recommend getting the easy to press buttons (ask of it after check out).
Burning Raven CIRCUS PERFORMERS - EAST COAST - I have a non-profit fund raiser for a children's hospital coming up in October. if any of you are around give a shot and lets t Posted at 2:31 AM Jul 23 view more
My name is Tim Mack or on stage I go by 'Burning Raven'. I am a fire performer, and have been spinning Poi for 5+ years. For me, Poi is a great way to do what the body was made for – and that is movement. I train at least 4 times a week and have a desire to be in a circus.
Currently I am traveling with 'Cirque du Soleil' - Kooza as a photographer out front of the tent. Its a great job and I get to see a lot of the US and meet many interesting people.
I have a web page www.BurningRaven.com that have more photos and information on it. Its still rather new and in the coming months I will be adding more content as well as a Demo reel. Stop on by and let me know what you think if you get a second.
Also, If you have a web page and want to do a link exchange with me – let me know!

OUR FIRST FIVE STAR REVIEW FROM USA Sendelica: The Girl From The Future Who Lit Up The Sky With Golden Worlds
The instrumental outfit from Wales Sendelica returns with a fabulous collection of seven face melting jams on their brand new offering for RAIG called The Girl From The Future Who Lit Up The Sky With Golden Worlds. For this new disc the two principal members, Pete Bingham (guitars, electronics) and Glenda Pescado (bass) have enlisted two Boston area musicians Geoff Chase (drums) and Ed Guild (electronics) to join them on their lengthy, astral excursions. Kicking off with a brief snippet of sampled, ethic tinged female vocals "Standing On The Edge" quickly shifts into overdrive as Bingham slashes out a mammoth swath of thick power chords, as bursts of psychedelic sounding electronics swirl around his extended solos. His guitar lets out an extended run of feedback at the tail end of the track before seamlessly segueing directly into the metallic, twelve minute crunch of "Manhole Of The Universe". Bingham tears off solo after solo.... FOR FULL REVIEW GO TO... http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=7884
