Death-Groovecore: [deth-groov-cor] n. 1. Heavy metal music that is exceptionally harsh and fast. Also known as the bellowing, hideous, ear splitting sound that secretes from the fiery hells beneath the earths crust. Lucifer himself, has this kind of music on his iPod. 2. The vocals are mostly guttural but not limited to, and the music is a mixture of Death Metal, Hardcore, Thrash, and Groove Metal - the 'Groove' sub-genre is highly underrated and was spawned by bands such as Sepultura, White Zombie, and Ektomorf.
Burning of Impurities is here to, in a nutshell, rock your shit. Hailing from Clarkston Michigan BTI is a Death/Thrash metal band that formed in 2008 from members of multiple bands. Jack Waddell and Ron Etters were in the band called "Reverie", which played cover songs for paying gigs, but due to frustration and band difficulties, that band broke up. After that, Jack, Ron and Chris Castillo (from Reverie) formed the band "Genocide". Genocide recruited 2 new band members, Luke Locrichio and Dan "The Rat" Hobson . After winning the Clarkston Junior High School Battle of the Bands, and playing a couple small gigs around the outskirts of Clarkston, Luke left the band to sing for his new band "Mors Mortis". Genocide struggled to survive, and attempted to play the Clarkston High School Battle of the Bands, but did not win. Following the loss, they kicked Chris out for personal reasons, and recruited Greg. Shortly after Greg joined, Dan quit, leaving Genocide with two guitarists and a drummer. Greg suggested that they should have Julian tryout for bassist, and it was a success. Genocide was no more, having changed their name to "Burning the Impurities". Recently BTI tried out a singer by the name of Dan Whitenton, it was a success, and finally we are a full band. That is the most updated band BIO we have, and we are pretty stable now.
