Burn My Eyes‡
In the year 2007,
Burn My Eyes formed itself from the ashes of Permanent Midknight,
Meth Sessions, NVAIN, and Trust Kill Pride. Combining over a decade
of experience and sharing the stage with bands like Testament, Body
Count, Otep, Stuck Mojo, Psychostick, Powerglove, Look What I Did,
and Still Remains, BME is set out to revitalize an oversaturated
North Carolina metal scene. Burn My Eyes has steadily gained a loyal
fan-base in the metal community throughout the South East US.
After a short time together, Burn My Eyes released their first
recording in November 2007 on Zen Wang Bingo Records with producer
Mike G. The Self Titled 5 song EP gained the band a tremendous spike
in popularity right out the gate with tracks like "Scars" and
"Personality Overload". Burn My Eyes is also in regular rotation on
the popular radio show “90 Minutes” on Charlotte’s 106.5WEND.
2008 marked Burn
My Eyes biggest year to date. After parting ways with Crystal and
Dustin BME immediatley began working with Billy Franklin (ex-Force
Fed Fist, Hollow Project). Billy has brought an amazing on
stage charisma and a unique writing ability that takes the Burn My
Eyes in a more technical progression. After searching far and
wide for a second guitar player the BME guys were whooed by the
soothing shredding of Eric (Big E, ex 7 Stitches). Burn My
Eyes also had the distinct pleasure of opening up with national
power houses Mushroom Head and The Autumn Offering in late 2008.
Since December of 2008 Burn My Eyes have locked them selves in the
practice space writing new material for an upcoming 2009 full length
LP release.
