Burnout Messiah started in 2004 using the name Torched. When drummer Frank and guitarist Niels met each other at the Conservatory of Music in Utrecht they felt their current study, namely jazz, wasn't fullfilling enough. They felt something was missing in their lives and they later found out that was rock music.
After a couple of beers (how everything gets started in music) and after a few times of playing music together they decided to find some more musicians and start a rockband.
Along with Matthieu (ex- Material Spirits and old friend of Frank's) they formed the base of the band. Some ideas started to pop up after a few rehearsals and they decided it was time to start looking for a singer.
A few weeks earlier they had seen a crazy but entertaining guy named Frank van den Ende on one of the many stages in Utrecht and decided to send him some of their recordings and just wait to see what he could make of it.
The results were awesome.
When at that time our bassist left we decided to look for a more groovy playing bassist. We then found Jos Otters and he provided our music with the groove and sound we were looking for.
So our current line-up is:

Frank van der Star (Drums)
Because of our different (musical)backgrounds our band is one with a very distinctive sound.
