Twin brothers, a guitar, and an eight-track with built in drum machine - who knew you needed so little to make such a great record ? In the vein of crass records-style anarcho punk, but more immediate and accessible because of how bare-bones it is. BURNT CROSS - "Arms Trade Death Trade" EP
Second uber-limited EP from this mercurial English two-piece. Arresting drum-machine-driven anarcho-punk in the vein of SCHWARTZENEGAR or the STRATFORD MERCENARIES; the vocals are very Steve Ignorant and the lyrics have the smart, informed tone of the guy's post CRASS bands. I'm not saying this is a rip-off clone - far from it - just showing these guys deliver a similar high caliber sound. Like the last EP, this is a ripper, and could easily slip in a mix between FLUX or CRASS and sound as vibrant. The cover is shit, but you can't have everything. Limited to 200, so it's probably gone. From the band name, album title, and black and white cover featuring a pile of skulls, I'm assuming this isn't power-pop. Guess what--it's not powerviolence either. This is hard anarcho-punk that sounds a lot like EXIT-STANCE, LIBERTY or a tougher SWARTZENEGGAR. This band is a two-piece comprised of two brothers from the UK. It's pure DIY, recorded in the bedroom with an 8-track and drum machine. It's well done, and they have a solid political street punk sound that fans of CONFLICT will like. Good lyrics on a variety of topics make this a very worthwhile release. Good stuff-MMR

BURNT CROSS were formed in jan 2007, after a friend was gonna throw his old guitar out a couple of months earlier, so i took it and decided to learn a couple of old punk songs so that my twin brother and i could go into a studio and lay them down just as a personal project for ourselves.I then came across a cheap 8 track with in-built drum machine, brought a cheap mic and ended up doing the songs in my bedroom, with the guitar doubling up as a bass.The music is similiar to what we were doing over 15 years ago when we last played in a band together so neither of us had done any music for years, in fact i still only know the same two guitar chords.
We thought that it didn't come out too bad so I decided to put it on myspace and so it became a 6 track cd called "The Reality of Sacrifice".There was 150 copies made and all were free to people we knew or any bands that wanted to trade.This demo is now deleted but our second cd is out now called "Carcass of Humanity". We are selling it for £4 inc p+p. Fight the System Records (Germany) and Punks before Profit (USA)have released tape versions. Five 7"s have been released by Tadpole Records, the first 4 are sold out and only a few of the fifth are now left. Our new 6th 7" called "Too Many Graves" will be released Nov 21st 2009

Dude about Blood Axis/Death In June i've heard some things but i will be honest with you, a long time ago i realzed that there is a disconnect between art for its own sake and ideologies of artists. if we cease to appreciate art for its own sake because of idelogical differences with the artists, we will hve to burn 80% of our books , films and cds! this is how christians/monotheists behave...i do not want to be like them..so in summary...i guess some of the music i listen to (temnozor/nokturnal mortum/absurd etc) has been connected with NS ideas etc but i appreciate the music on its own terms and can dispense with the WP nonsense (which, as you must know, is hardly ever advertent in NSBM) racism is bullshit, i consider anyone fighting for animals and the planet itself my brothers/sisters...though i admit i have little interest in those that don't care..

Well we start by just very dark underground and anarcho but some complaint its to underground lol and other its to mixed of different style, what i can say we dont like to put us seflf into a "getho sub-culture"(Those war bethwen "style" is so rediculos)Anyway so we add some chess on it,hey we cant please everyone and anyway its totally free is some dont like it to bad.
