From the first chord struck to the last wash of cymbals, Burn The Port is less a band and more a force of unabashed devastation. An unchecked brutality spewed forth from a gaping maw, coupled with a confident swagger that leaves few contemporaries. Formed in the Winter of 2009 by Ikaika (guitar) and Jim (drums) the line up was soon augmented with the addition of Michael on vocals and Jasmin on bass. Mixing elements of 90's death metal, black metal, 80's thrash and hardcore, southern metal and modern grindcore, Burn The Port has taken the next step in a genre over run by milquetoast groups and lackluster impostors. Greater than the sum of its parts, Burn The Port permiates the vail of banality and serves as the atonement for an apathetic world. Boundaries will be blurred, lines crossed and like a devine piston on an awesome downstroke of destruction, the idle masses will bare witness to the force that is Burn The Port. -
