Burn this Life was formed in 2002 by a group of old friends with one thing in mind....To play some cool loud Metal Music.
Burn This Life launched their first album "IMPACT " in October 2005.
The Album featured singles "Muppet on a String" and "Requiem" and was well recived by all. (Currenlty available from Itunes or Amazon altough stocks are low, but downloads are plentyfull!!!! )
In 2006 Burn This Life sadly lost their Bass player James Cowie who could no longer commit to their current schedule but quickly recrutied Tom Watts and continued to play live and begin working on Material for the follow up to Impact " Selfish Mortals".
With a full ablums worth of Material Burn This Life hit the stuidos in 2007 to start recording, this however was going to prove a big challenge due to two band members about to become Dads and a new Career venture for Tom. Obstacles and a lack of gigs continued throughout 2008 in which BTL played just one further live show and continued to work on "Selfish Mortals"
2009 and all good things must come to an end. Due to many reasons Wes decided to leave Burn This Life in May and after discussions the rest of the band they also decided it was time to call it a day. So after 2 EP's, a Live DVD and 2 Albums, Burn This Life was over, but not a bad show for Seven years of hard work!! "Selfish Mortals" will still be released at the end of this year and will be available from Amazon and Itunes...
Our Websites will still be running for some time to come and please still check them out from time to time as you never know a one of show may appear at some point in the future.
Regarding the Band. G, Scotty and Tom are continuing to play as a covers/functions band and are currenlty in the process of setting up so watch this space for further details and shows/bookings.
Wes, after a brief spell with Horror Punk Band " The Midnight Frightshow " will still be recording as "Frightshow" but now as a solo project rather than a live band for the time being, and will also continue to work and run his Black Widows Web page.
Rit is taking a small break from music and chilling out until the time comes to take the stage again.....
Burn This Life would like to thank all the Bands/people, in particular " Safehouse Theory, Dead Mans Root, Kay Cronin, Julie, Tim, Al, Doug at Black Machine Guitars, that over the years have supported us either on or off stage or for just keeping in touch and listening in.....
Thanks to you all...and remember to keep moshing...The live music scene is slowly dying...there are amazing bands out there, the music is great and the spirit is alive....

But Where the F*CK are all the promoters/venues/lables going and since when did you have to bring 50 of your own fans to pay at the venue door, pay to drink your drinks, then not pay the band!!!!!! It's not right guys stop f*cking doing it......
As bands we dont always expect to get paid...but for fucks sake...promote your OWN F*CKING VENUES AND GET YOUR OWN F*CKING CUSTOMERS..... BANDS GET FANS FROM PEOPLE LISTENING THEY DONT COME READY MADE.............

just in case anyone was interested i thought i'd let you all know that i've successfully survived my first week of university without being blown up or something stupid like that. I got freshers flu though. haha 3 sleep overs in 3 days...walking around random mens rooms in just underwear xD o.O im suddenly a slut or something lol xD that or you could just blame the profuse amounts of alcohol consumed haha xD
