The Psalmists and Levites shall remain nameless for the time being. They come out in the night, and some are known throughout our community in Tulsa, and some are not. They play songs that their hearts long to play for His Glory. A few of them are listed in our "top friends" section.
They all know this isn't a place for promotion, a place for being seen. This is a place that God has called those who are here for a season, some a lifetime. The hearts of the ones gathering long to exalt the One who has given them the breath to survive, and give it right back to Him.

The Story
The Burn Tulsa is a frequent gathering in Tulsa that is focused around vertical worship, coupled with prayer. Our heart is at this point in time, to gather the church for the sake of asking the Father for His will, and His Kingdom. We set up for extensive segments of non-stop worship, up toward 72 hours, where artists and worshipers come to play 2 hours shifts through the day and night.
We have been gathering in this city formally since 2003. The Burn was birthed in Tulsa. Several Oral Roberts University students at the time saw such a need for more prayer and a release of the artistic, that they just began gathering in a vacant space next to a local coffee shop, painting, sculpting, playing and crying out for a move of God in this generation.
In 2004 The Burn Tulsa began facilitating a gathering every three months, coordinating 36 hour events, with artists and intercessors from all over Tulsa. In August of 2006, monthly times were launched, with length of 36 hours upwards to 77 hours.
The Burn is for the nameless and faceless, and has become a para-church organization, where it uses the local church buildings for the facilitation of 24/7 worship and prayer. The Burn is dedicated to linking with pastors and intercessors and leaders and worshipers all over the community. We have had individuals and groups involved from over four dozens different ministries from Tulsa.
The end of 2006 brought us new horizons and expansion, and a vision that was easy to replicate, and passion that could be spread; We started 2007 with five cities.
We are up and running with an indigenous fire in over two dozens cities, and three countries. We are launching the Burn in over 7 ,more countries in the next year.
I see dry bones. He sees an army. We must see everything through a Godly perspective. We must realize that we are the Temple, and that God makes his home in us. Tulsa is not dry. The people are not necessarily dry. They have been trained and they have been equipped with all the tools to carry on effectively in ministry (2 Peter 1:3-4). Our prayer is that the church in Tulsa will begin to overflow with their gifts and that God will pour out his Spirit.
We cannot wait any longer for the Lord to move. It is time to put ourselves to work. We are the vessels, and if the vessels are not carrying life, what is it that we think is going to bring the move of Almighty? Our expressions to the Lord, whether inward or outward, are what create quakes and part seas, and ultimately bring deliverance. The Lord is the one waiting on us.
The Burn: Tulsa [Edition] is focused on bringing people forth to worship and pray and encourage each other in living lives dedicated to pleasing the Father. What else is there? Should there be anything else for which we strive? Oh Lord that we could reach you! May we express our love for you in a way that is beautiful and worthy to set before your throne!
The Lord is coming, and we will prepare the way, and establish the temple in our hearts, and we [the bride] will burn our midnight oil, in wait for our Lover to take us to be with him (Matthew 25:10).
