Ben McCabe plays drum kit, percussion, horn, sings in the background and does some MDing on the side. It all started when he went along to Off the Rails creative jazz orchestra in Morecambe to try and play drum kit and was then moulded, groomed and shoe-horned into various tight fitting musical garments. He currently works for the community music organization More Music in Morecambe where weeks are passed running streetbands, having face-offs with 8yr olds, hanging out with parents and toddlers, writing lists and bearing ill-judged grudges. Spreading his spread even further he never has the opportunity to get carried away on the drums with unashamed yet assuredly abashed folk-rockers The Pier Group. Also playing with Orchestre DC Dansette, Natural Causes, Slow Reader Group, Lawrence Woof Trio, Striding Edge, Little Hero (full band) and MDing Off the Rails all based in Northern England. All music on this page now the result of cordal whispers with Eddhu Nan.

of England. Coupling the incredible vocal clarity of Bill Orrick with
layered, effect soaked, post rock soundscapes and waves of raunchy
balls-out heaviness, theirs is a truly unique sound.
Satellites - 4-piece based in Lancaster Post-rock, ambient, progressive - "a double measure of post rock served with a generous helping of progressiveness."
